Put muzzle brake on AR
Buy Ares SCR
Put upper onto SCR
Put lower reciever away and stripped
Save money
Move the fuck out of California
Vote republican
Put stripped lower back onto AR
Buy a new upper and dedicate it to the SCR, a mini-14-but-better build.

We'll continue the good fight behind enemy lines. Leaving the state is what they want.

Why do gun owners think fleeing will solve anything on a larger scale.

First they came for the Californians but I did nothing for I was not Californian.

Grip wraps are the least lame you can get with featureless IMO.

I have the FRS stock for my featureless lower, and while it works, I don't exactly like it. I don't have a photo though, since my upper is usually mated to my BB'd lower.

Also moving out of CA in October, to an almost equally cucked state though (oregon). Still, it's only a temporary stop, and it hasn't become utter shit like CA, yet...
>>

I'm not moving, but I'm not complying either.

The best thing you can do is vote red and take people out to go target shooting with you. Take the mystery out of gun ownership and have fun doing it.

Wish there were more I could do to help the fight in other states, but I'm doing what I can to talk to anyone I know that is anti or on the fence and bring them in to the fold of supporting, if not using, the Second Amendment.

Understanding that most people growing up in california were not exposed to guns makes it harder to show the importance of a right.

I take people to BLM land and ranges all the time, often at my own expense. It's the least I can do to show them safe handling and remove the media's total lock on them with misinformation on firearms.

This is a NY compliant AR.

Bring it to the range for fun, and then when the time is right just put back on a real stock and pistol grip and you've got yourself an AR.
>>
>>30932195
>>30932197
Good luck then.
Outside of actual cultural shift in the big city centers, you will not get much going. FPC is scrambling for donations for their planned slew of lawsuits, but in the time for maybe ONE law getting repealed, the CA government has shown that they can railroad 10 more proposals. And with Newsom about to win governor easily, you are in for a hilariously horrifying ride.

CA is the home of Hollywood, liberal central with media influence, connections, and star power.

San Francisco is the rich, social media darling, and tech heavy cesspool that shapes and spits out all the nightmare politicians you see today.

Break SF and LA and you might have a chance, otherwise, have fun trying and accomplishing nothing outside of lost time and resources better put into something else.

Let the liberals run this state into the ground, the worse off the state turns, the more easier for the right to make moves.

But we aren't as a CA gun owner and shooting enthusiast I have come to the conclusion that I am not helping, if anything I'm hindering. My vote doesn't matter, I'm badly outnumbered and our districts are gerrymandered to hell. Every time I comply with a law, I get branded as an evil gun nut exploiting a "loophole" and still owning guns! Which only serves to fuel the gun grabber's hateful power.

I literally saw an article today describing the AR maglocks as "skirting the law" and "modifying the AR-15, a military style assault weapon, to reload more quickly." For those of you without cuck skills, an AR Maglock is a magazine release button that requires the removal of the rear takedown pin, and the upper rotated off the lower before it will allow you to eject the mag.

I love to sarcastically express surprise to my more liberal friends on how something like this can happen.

I'm not in California, and if I were it would be non-compliance and fighting it. How many people saying, "There's not chance of winning, I'll just move" does it take to make it a reality? California is influencing its Northern neighbors and the cancer will spread if something isn't done. Some times you fight a losing battle to win a war, sometimes you just run from the enemy so they kill you last.

Some of you just have no backbone. Just put #refugee on your bumper as you leave california. Imagine if the Revolutionary War was fought by you limp dicks.
>>
>>30932370
You're fighting a losing battle, this is a war. We're scattered and the conservative population is in non-power holding regions in the state.
California needs MAJOR shake ups to dislodge the entrenchment in not only our government but overall culture and attitude towards the 2nd Admendment and guns.
So far, you got nothing, and in fact, the upcoming elections and state office hand off will be continuation of the downward spiral and that's NOT EVEN the start of when THIS round of laws goes into effect. The next administration will have a field day with the state gun laws.
And when Newsom has passed his 34th gun control bill in the next few years, you will still be whininh about how you're fighting the good fight in the frontlines.

Buddy, they flew over the frontlines, they're moving past to other states now.
>>
>>30932456
There is no amount of people giving up that will make it a reality, it already is. Sometimes you fight a losing battle to win a war, but you don't throw men and resources into the grinder when there's no achievable goal. You withdraw, regroup, and fight on then.

If the people of california can be convinced that their state government does not have their best interests in mind, this will be a battleground state again.

Hell, gay marriage failed to pass at one time. What kind of liberal state does that??
>>
>>30932489
And if everyone scatters here and there, no real power consolidation occurs. If people could somehow be organized to start moving to a specific city/region and pick up the fight in numbers, it might be doable. That isn't what's happening as far as I know.
>>30932502
The Bay Area and LA shouldn't be the focus of the fight just yet. You shouldn't rush the enemy stronghold when their surrounding forces have yet to be dealt with. The article you linked is a great example of what the real issue is, politicians bypassing what our political process is supposed to be. I wish there were a simple solution that people would agree to enact, but too many people are worried about their personal convenience and not the larger picture.
>>
>>30932586
CA has political dynamics that are a little different than some, a lot of Hispanics were anti-gay but are anti-gun. I'd say the anti-gun sentiment is stronger here than most other places, even other blue states, but the anti-gay was a lot stronger too. Religious Dems are funny like that.

Honestly I'm just registering my rifles and taking off my bullet buttons

I work for the state. The idea of them even trying to actually confiscate stuff is laughable. They are playing the long game where they brainwashing the youth into not getting into shooting and don't allow your kids to inherit guns.

These featureless workarounds are fucking retarded and I'm not spending another dime on them. This battle will only be won in court

Something ive learned and most CA residents have learned is that gun control will come for you no matter where you live. You can't escape the tyranny. We need a massive shift in social opinion to stop it. I find that highly unlikely.

There is a very good chance the democrats will get a new awb in 2016. It's gonna get bad for everyone soon. CA is coming to you.

That's like saying that you're going to keep fighting until all mental hospitals disappear because they seem like shitty places that you wouldn't want to live in, despite the fact that we need a place to put the crazy fucks.

California has been designated a containment state. If that's no longer an option, the cancerous portion of the population will overflow into surrounding areas. We end up with several pretty bad areas instead of one horrible area and a few okay areas.

Sometimes you need to concede and amputate a gangrenous limb before it consumes too much of the body.

I was never into this scene until I bought my first rifle but I can't picture a California that I want to be a part of. So when you say featureless, I think I'm just going to put away my AR which I have sunk more than $1500 into. Now more than ever we are an animal that is being coaxed to the edge of a cliff. Those owners whom comply only blind themselves in denial for worse infringements later.

If you do not want to RAW, you can make your rifle into featureless and won't need to register when its in featureless configuration is what I have been reading. Need some clarification

Fuck them. I'll do with my rifle what I want. Why should I have to put a piece of plastic on my grip while in the next state over they can enjoy their nfa shit. Whole other fucking world and the people don't care.

Don't apologize to us though. The common sentiment is to hate us for things beyond our control. I wish we had moved away to Washington during the great recession like my dad said we might (we didn't lose our house, but maybe life would be better if we did).
>>
>>30932954
the weird grips are because the politicians, when making the laws, made a very specific definition of a pistol grip and pistol grips were evil and scary. if you could wrap your thumb around it and it protruded below the action it was a pistol grip. enter the fins and other options where you could not wrap your thumb around (you lay it to the side). not a pistol grip. not evil.

Some dude on calguns thinks that if you purchased an AR in the year 2000-2016 with an installed BB, you would still have to register the firearm before the deadline of 2018 regardless of the rifle being configured to featureless.

"Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but strictly construing NEW PC 30900(b)(1) is bothersome:

"(b) (1) Any person who, from January 1, 2001, to December 31, 2016, inclusive, lawfully possessed an assault weapon that does not have a fixed magazine, as defined in Section 30515, including those weapons with an ammunition feeding device that can be readily removed from the firearm with the use of a tool, shall register the firearm before January 1, 2018, but not before the effective date of the regulations adopted pursuant to paragraph (5), with the department pursuant to those procedures that the department may establish by regulation pursuant to paragraph (5)."

'You can't unscramble an egg' by switching out to a 2017 Compliant fixed mag or by going featureless and expect to get around the registration requirement if your AR/AK with evil features had a BB while possessed by you. My interpretation, again, strictly construed- if you at any time from 1/1/2001-12/31/2016 possessed it with a BB you are required to register it if it is still in your possession.

Proving that is one thing on the part of the State, but I believe it possible that you may get a letter or worse in 2018 if you do not register in 2017. It may be more prudent to register it as AW, and then go about deregistering it, and make the requisite changes. In the meantime you will be able to keep and use the BB or perhaps even switch to a standard magazine release. By that time, you may just want to leave it that way, or change it and deregister so that all the restrictions that go with AW can be eliminated."

been modified or reconfigured to no longer meet the assault weapon definition.
Cancellation requests must be signed, dated, and provide the following information:
(1) blah blah blah info here blah blah blah

>(b) After confirmation of the information provided on the cancellation request, the
Department will permanently delete the registration for the specified assault weapon(s).
If there are no remaining assault weapons registered to the individual, all personal
information regarding the registrant will also be deleted from the assault weapon data

The part where it says they'll delete you from the assault weapon database sounds like bullshit though

Well in order for you to purchase a fully built AR/AK 'legally' in california, it would have to be CA compliant which means having a BB installed, and everyone after 2014 who purchased an AR/AK went through that DROS bs and now they have record of yo shit.

Here syrup friend, I'll give you a real answer.

In the US, something like 90% of the population lives on the coasts. As a result, most opportunities for jobs are there too. Much of the central US, especially west of the Mississippi River, is uninhabited.

People are afraid to leave because it will mean moving to a small town with no jobs and nothing to do in their free time. Also, many industries are regionally based meaning a silicone valley computer scientist isnt going to find work in kansas.

>Intentionally vague.

Vague laws get thrown out of courts. They failed to write into the bill a system in which there are two levels of RAW. At least for now our appeals court, as anti as it is, still enforces decent law writing. If they did not ban it, it is legal. If they "forgot" to ban it, it's still legal. If the ban was "implied by the Spirit of the law" it's still legal. They did not redefine RAWS in any fashion, therefore a RAW is still a RAW. Now I'm sure someone is going to work on that, there will be some new bill introduced, it'll get bandied around in committee for as long as poasible, the NRA will sue them, etc. But until I see a law on the books that says otherwise, my RAW gets a standard mag release.

This really isn't as true as it used to be. Sure, the tech giants are in Silicone Valley/California, but there are a lot more tech jobs in the Midwest. You might make $75,000 a year instead of $100,000 but the lower cost of living/taxes can make up the difference. A proposal awhile back would actually aid gun owners:

Divide the state into 5 smaller states in order to better represent the constituents. Obviously a winery or a ranch is misrepresented by Silicon Valley, the bay area, and OC.

It would also establish regional gun laws since the federal government punted all gun laws to the state level.

A modest proposal... one that will never get passed.

Any featureful rifle with a fixed magazine that can be removed without disassembly of the action, such as an AR15 with a Bullet Button, becomes an assault weapon on January 1st, 2017. You have until the end of 2017 to register it as an assault weapon, or otherwise render it in compliance with the law.

For AR15s, there's already a product, the Patriot Mag Release, which will allow non-featureless rifles to continue to be built and sold in California in 2017 and onward. For other rifles, there aren't.

There's a few other new laws, completely banning large cap mags, requiring background checks for ammo purchases, further criminalizing lending firearms, requiring serialization of homebuilts, et cetera. You should look it up yourself.

>likely a second generation immigrant
>raised by hardworking parents grateful for the opportunities America gave them
>father raised him on stories about how brave American men defended his people from communists
>taught to always be ready to defend himself, his property, and the people he cares about
>working innafamilybusiness when riots break out
>act as his father taught him, executing his duty as a man and American to defend his store from looters
>his face when he realizes he is truly a free man
>drive the looters away
>the riots eventually end

Where's the rear takedown pin? How does the upper not keep flopping foward?
>>
>>30938892
I have one made by thordsen customs for my featureless ar, it works pretty well but the grip part feels awful thin even for my small hands.

We're talking about a random street murder, not political terrorism. If anything you have reinforced my point about nignogs. You can point to and name the white killers. You can't point to and name the thousands of black murderers day in, day out, because they're nothing special.
>>
>>30932433
What is with the plate on the grip? Is that literally to prevent you from actually holding the rifle?

I just read the law on this an hour ago and I think I have finally figured it out. California's law makers are against guns but they can't go full out gun ban. They CAN however make all gun owners look stupid. You are one dorsal fin and gilled barrel shroud away from shooting pic related.
>>
>>30940404
Honestly I have no idea. I don't own one... yet.
For sure gonna be one of my next guns though. What Canadian foesn't want an AR15 they can take innawoods?
>>
>>30940477
Thanks for the reply, but I need the handguard, not the calishit stock. Just the handguard.

I can't find anything about it, and I NEED IT.
>>
>>30940588
Pistol grips and thumbhole stocks are known to the state of California as naughty things only mass murderers and police officers would want, so they're illegal on a firearm with a detachable magazine.

The modified grip is the simplest way to comply with the law while still owning an AR15 that can be quickly reconfigured to normal, should your concern about obeying state law suddenly lessen.
>>
>>30940822
Holy shit that's one of the most retarded things I've ever heard. Well, I'm sure that'll be the next step here in Mass, so I guess I better get used to the idea.

1st generation vietnamese refugee reporting in.

I currently live in the San Francisco bay area and I am against all of these laws. I for one always vote who is for the second amendment. I worked hard to get where I am today and I thank the American people for allowing me in to their country. I now own my own machine shop. I constantly mill 80 percents and teach people how to do it. I don't do it for them.

An armed society is a safe one.
>>
>>30941017
you do realize that's illegal according to the ATF
>>
>>30941471
No, I teach them basic skills with metal milling and drilling. I don't use 80s for them. I teach them the basics. Then they use applied knowledge to do whatever they want with it.

So you're telling me it's illegal to teach someone how to use a drill press?
>>
>>30941005
Close, but no joy. Thanks for trying, at least.

Fuck. This is the most impossible thing to locate.

This whole thread. Too bad the founding fathers didn't see fit to protect us from Jews invading the legal system.
>>
>>30941471
The entire point of 80% lowers is that's the point where the ATF stops trying to prosecute you. It's very much legal according to the ATF.
>>
>>30932137
Why does no one think you can use stripped lowers when you can. Have you fuckers even been to a gun store in CA?

You know this happened right /k/?
In them middle of the rights burning down LA they arrested the roof koreans for illegal carrying of a loaded weapon in public (CA banned open carry in the fucking 60s because of the Black Panthers).

Britcuck here living in London. Already been robbed twice, built a luty submachine gun and a pistol. You don't know how good you have it having a government that at least pays homage to your natural freedom. Mass noncompliance is the way you can crush this . The majority have no right to infringe upon your freedoms. Build a proper ar 15, build a machine gun, you are independent from your government by right (Americans often forget that) so they are in the wrong for passing any gun control, not you for disobeying them. Do not allow your freedom to slip through your fingers as we have, because once it is gone you cannot reclaim it
