Okay, here's the scenario. Hillary won the election. 4chan flips out, gun panic buying skyrockets, executive order effectively bans ammunition and reloading supplies (categorizes ammunition/powder as explosives requiring a federal license to own or some shit...). Domestic ammo production is shut down. Now everyone has guns, but no ammo to shoot them. Government uses the excuse that the 2nd amendment only covers firearms, not ammunition. They become expensive paperweights and people start selling them off to collectors.

What do you do now, /k/?

Eastern europe gets ammo factories emerging around like mushrooms after rain.
They compete with low prices and if shillary tries to cut imports, mexican cartels with associates from the russian and other slav mobs start smuggling ammo along with the cocaine and weed.
It would give people jobs
>>
>>30923959
Your scenario sounds a lot like prohibition. Essentially it would be the roaring 20's again except with ammo instead of alcohol. Prices for what remained would sky rocket and a lot of people would be thrown in jail for owning/posessing prohibited contraband.

That would send the red states into a big enough shitstorm to start civil war round 2, which would become pic related. If she really did win, we'd never see a drastic move against the second, but a lot of "compromises", and any resistance would be labeled as conservative extremists

Effectively a comprehensive gun ban = Only believable scenario where significant proportion of the population would engage in Civil War.
>>
>>30924107
>significant proportion of the population would engage in Civil War.

I dont think that would happen. We as people are so used to the government doing what it wants with zero accountability that even if they did strip the 2nd down to nothing and outlawed the funs it wouldnt matter. Most of the people would shrug and leave it where it was. Those that did have the want/ability to fight would. They would quickly be labled as domestic terrorists and hunted.

Thats what im sating though, i dont think it would even be that much. A lot of guys (myself included) have a family to think about. I dont think it would be beyond the govwrnment to use that against "known terrorists".

This is what's so fucking spooky on a generational level.

If today's world wanted to go full soviet, it's incredibly easy to lock down everything. Just look at how the Feds react.
>>
>>30924201
People only rebel when they feel restless or desperate.

Now we have the internet, and the economy is functional enough (for now) to keep people above subsistence.
>>
>>30924166
why? because of the polls? they've been rigged from the start and its blatantly obvious. just look at who they poll. 100-200 more democrats than republicans? and nearly 200 "independents"? please.
>>
>>30924201
I get your point but if even 1% of CA gun owners (3,600 people) decided to take over the capitol in Sacramento the state govt is boned. That's why they have to slowly take away our ability to take such actions.

Im actually saddened thinking about the pussified way my generation just rolls over. (32 years old)
Most of my friends dont have physical jobs, they want tech jobs. They drive a prius, drink mocha-cappuc... However the fuck thats spelled. You get my drift though. They guys that would stand up and fight are getting to the age where theyre too old to do much. And my generation doeant care.

>>
>>30924269
Honestly, it depends on the situation. If legit confiscation or criminalization of firearm ownership occurred I would say it would be at least likely. There might be other situations dealing with agriculture and water rights that would also cause a revolt but I see those as less likely.

The big three amendments that usually cause problems for the govt are the 1st, 2nd, and the 4th. Most revolts would be based in one of those in dispute.

I get what youre saying.

None.

If you want a gun control law thrown out you just need 10% of the NRA to have a protest in the national mall.

Take a look at gun stocks. Smith & Wesson, Ruger, all up 700%, 800% since Obama took office. Manufacturers are making a killing selling the federal gun grab meme.

Of course we can stop kidding ourselves and admit this entire thread is just a circle jerk at the thought of killing feds.

Per multiple federal court rulings, the ability to shoot and maintain proficiency is "part and parcel" to the 2nd Amendment. Those cases pertain to bans on gun shops and gun ranges but ammo restrictions like you're suggesting would likely fall under such a ruling.

Wait for the inevitable pissed off Fudd who decides to switch from huntin durr to huntin her and her minions. We all know it's going to happen eventually if she wins, maybe even if she doesn't.

What she'll most likely do is nominate the most traitorously anti-gun jackasses she can for supreme court. These people will be the sort that would tell you "abridging the freedom of speech" is simply making comedic internet parody videos about speeches. If the dems take congress while she takes the presidency they basically have a blank check to ban guns via legislation. What makes it scary is they're arrogant enough to think they can get away with it and they probably will try. It's not going to be pretty.

Anyways, assuming no outright rebellions/civil war 2, you'd have guides on how to cheaply make powder and other needed things at home popping up literally everywhere online and people would be home manufacturing black powder and other goodies. Black market for ammo would also open up with ammo flowing in through Canada and Mexico. Another thing that would immediately happen is many red states would straight up tell her to go suck start Biden's shotgun. You might actually see a real secession attempt from Texas from it.

She's a fucking idiot. She wouldn't ban just ammo, she'd ban guns and everything relating to guns. None of this would happen, because gun owners all know what has happened every time a government has stripped its people of guns, and they'd fight the system. Gun owners are an essential part of our country, they're a symbol to keep the government in line.
>>
>>30925544
>Luckily, unlike '94 it's a lot harder to trick people into supporting that shit.

I wouldn't say that. I think a lot of millennials have to be reminded that we had a ban, and some don't remember that we had one in place at all.

I was born the year that the AWB was passed and I've been going to gun shows ever since I was 8 years old. I actually have to think really hard to remember what it was like. I remember my dad buying "hi-cap" mags at any opportunity he could; people wanted C-Mags for 400-500 fucking dollars and 30 rounders for an ungodly amount of money as well. Banned accessories and firearms were prohibitively expensive, but another consideration to take into account was that the market was still flowing banned goods that our government sought to regulate. At any rate, the ban was mutually prohibitive and ineffective, but when I talk to millennials, there's no recollection. Without that memory, there's nothing stopping another ban.

I'm far more worried about Hillary than I am about Trump. Both sides of the aisle are more than happy to tell him "no, fuck off" while Hillary probably has enough dirt saved up on the bulk of Washington to do whatever the hell she wants. How else do you get away with so much shit?

I would not be surprised if she literally had Comey's balls in a jar on her desk.
>>

Ya know I'd be fine with voting for Trump it didn't seem like he'd end up doing some truly tyrannical shit.

And despite Republicans always saying that the 2nd Amendment is for defending the others, they always seem disturbingly fine with trampling the rights of "undesirable" groups. And if ever a time there would be a need for people to be ready to defend the constitution with their arms, it would be under the reign of Trump.

>Could swear they kinda got caught red handed rigging their primaries. It's not exactly unexpected at this point.
See, I knew someone would say something like this as soon as the e-mails about rigging things came out.

The thing is, when Hillary "rigged" the primary she didn't stuff ballots. She played back-room politics with the delegates. Rigging a general election is an entirely different affair and isn't accomplished in the same way, because you either need to control the count, or stuff the ballot boxes. Not only that, but it's definitely illegal, while what Hillary did isn't under the right circumstances.

I'm not really worried about anyone rigging the general election (though I also saw a documentary from about 2003, showing how easy it was to rig electronic voting machines, it was called Hacking Democracy and most of /k/ would have probably skipped it for being 'too librul').

Some possibilities:

1. So Hillary wins. Every single person one degree right of center, with at least a handful of functioning brain cells, is going to realize that this is illegal, rigged, unfair, unconstitutional, or all of the above.
2. Now every gun owner is outraged (again) and more vigilant. They start pouring more money into the NRA's coffers and their attitude for the most part is to dig in their heels even more.
3. Gun and ammo sales go through the roof again, outdoing Feinstein's spectacular panic buying event.
4. Hillary unsuccessfully tries to overturn Heller in the supreme court and she tries all sorts of other shenanigans, per her puppet masters. She meets unprecedented opposition.
5. Hillary has broken her oath now, to defend the constitution, and is a career criminal, and everyone who is not an idiot understands this.
6. Hillary can not sign in an ammo ban with executive order, it is not going to happen. As another anon said ammo is part and parcel to maintaining the second amendment.

States will push back, people will continue to move to red states, and the USA will become more divided. Places like California are pilot programs for dismantling your right to own firearms. Hillary will continue to do this, one little piece at a time, state by state, until there is enough push back that it becomes detrimental to them, then they will just shift tactics.

The shadow gov has contingency plans in place and have been discussing and working on their plan to disarm the world, for centuries. This is no longer a conspiracy theory.

Hillary's campaign is based on lies just like Obama's and it has absolutely zero to do with the "safety" of the citizen. None of the anti gunners actually care about "the people" and can give two shits if very gun owning patriot died in a horrible fire.

It'd be nice, but ya gotta remember that there's real people getting ground up in the gears of progress.

A revolution might be a great way to 'reset' America and remove the corruption and stagnancy, but a lot of people will die, or get hurt, who don't deserve it. And that's assuming the good guys win and we end up with a better government than before.

This, and we need to examine "to what level of oppression" we were at just before the battle of 1776.

Patriots and people who love freedom have a point at which they will typically push back hard, depending on the circumstances, this is part of the reason why certain entities have pushed so hard to create a false sense of comfort in the USA. But once they go for the ammo on a wide scale, the shit is going to hit the fan, to some degree. This is why they do their prohibition in little tiny bits and threatening a large type of ban, and when we "win" that particular dispute, we typically don't win the whole thing - basically they tell us they want ten cookies, we fight and they end up getting one cookie, and we think we "won", when in reality they have won in a small way. (I forget what that tactic is called).

" Public arms would often be stored in a special armory, which might also be the powder house.

Before dawn on September 1, 1774, 260 of Gage’s Redcoats sailed up the Mystic River and seized hundreds of barrels of powder from the Charlestown powder house.

The “Powder Alarm,” as it became known, was a serious provocation. By the end of the day, 20,000 militiamen had mobilized and started marching towards Boston. In Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, rumors quickly spread that the Powder Alarm had actually involved fighting in the streets of Boston. More accurate reports reached the militia companies before that militia reached Boston, and so the war did not begin in September. The message, though, was unmistakable: If the British used violence to seize arms or powder, the Americans would treat that violent seizure as an act of war, and would fight. And that is exactly what happened several months later, on April 19, 1775."

Almost as delusional as this. Trump is sliding in the polls because despite what you think, being a loud-mouthed bigoted flip-flopper doesn't appeal to most Americans. Not because of some liberal conspiracy to rig the vote so he loses.

No I'm not baiting, I know it's hard for you to believe that someone could actually think he's wrong, but there it is!

The thing about how he cheerily admits, "it's okay to discriminate against libruls, so I'm going to do that!" is a bit disturbing too, and shows you just how fucked things c/would get if we backpedaled the protections for race, religion, and sexuality that so many on the right complain about.
>>
>>30926522
I think a war would last longer than most think. Unlike most rebellions in US history, a second civil war would be more of a clusterfuck with guerilla groups fighting the government and even each other.

While the larger more organized groups would calm down and most likely get their demands mostly met (some laws turned back, politicians forced to step down, some politicians jailed, maybe a token scapegoat executed), a lot of the smaller groups would continue fighting feeling like their demands had never been heard.

Look at the aftermath of the Civil War. There where groups resisting for years on the frontier and deep south. They ran small scale raids and sabotage on supply lines and the like.
>>

>>
>>30926753
You tell me. The far-right seems to have plenty of hate for 'sexual deviants' of all types, as well as legal immigrants and their citizen descendants.

Not to mention that once again, that sort of shit is spitting on the constitution while obeying the letter of it.

And if you want to get technical there's a constitutional angle to the immigrant thing as well. The 1st Amendment says that the government shall make no laws favoring one religion over another, banning muslims from the country would be in violation of that.
>>
>>30923959
Gay scenario. POTUS can't do that kind of law making with EOs, otherwise Obama would have done it years ago. Secondly, I seem to recall a recent case where one of the Circuit courts ruled that ammo is also protected under 2A. Could be wrong about that, though.

The biggest danger from Hillary is her SCOTUS choices. That's where we're gonna get screwed.

Guess what a "ban on muslims" effectively counts as, dumb ass?

But I don't care about muslims any more than any other group, that's the thing you don't seem to get. I think you and those like you are a piece of shit not because you hate muslims. Even Trump has clued in to this! It's why he's switches from saying he'd ban muslims to banning people from Countries X, Y, and Z... because the constitution didn't say anything about that.

Shillary wont ever be able to take any guns away or pass any gun laws... Why do you people keep freaking out, Its good to be concerned and worried about dipshits like her who should never be allowed to run or be president, but it is impossible to take away the guns of the american people or restrict their consumption of weapons and ammo. ITS THE SECOND AMENDMENT! Also do you think any southern states are going to be okay with that? Fuck no! Especially in the south, people will take up arms if there was even a hint of infringement on their rights.

Grab a large bore air rifle, which is not, legally, a firearm, and even IF a full firearm/ammunition ban went into effect (protip: it wont), it would then still take months of fighting in congress to add an addendum adding air rifles to that list.

Yes, good air rifles are expensive as hell. But just hear me out here, have any of you guys simply tried NOT being poor?

Unless the government suddenly tries to ban air compressors and small metal smelting units (which, again, not gonna happen), you can then simply shoot forever. You can even plink on your property without having to worry about the possibility of a hyper-lefty finding out and reporting you, because air rifles are quiet as fuck.

Yeah, large bore air rifles are impractical when compared to the ease and availability of actual firearms, but fuck it, if the worst were to ever happen, it would be a decent way to go until the anti-gun legislation got overturned at a later date (which it would).

This is, of course, all a moot point, because even if Hillary gets elected (and yes, THAT could likely happen), an actual ban on firearms and ammunition simply isn't going to be a thing. She can talk about how we need "gun control," but that's just an emotional appeal to secure lefty voters. No politician is actually going to try it, because can you IMAGINE the god damn catastrophe that would happen if they did?
>>
Second Amendment legislation is often something that ground gets lost on and never regained, stuff like the overturned '94 AWB notwithstanding.

There are loads of folks who believe, rightfully, that if we don't stall legislation on it now, it's ground lost forever. It's the long game people have in mind.

It's a last stand that will last for hundreds of years, and the only way we can hold the line is to prevent any laws that infringe upon our rights from passing as long as we can, and teach our kids what our parents taught us; That the right to own firearms isn't just a sport, a hobby, but a fundamental civil right. Now and centuries from now.

Trump is very moderate as well - a republican that absolutely avoids the topics like abortion or gay marriage while being(for instance) pro-universal healthcare. It's just the rhetoric, memes and smear campaign that makes people think he's Hitler incarnate.
