About the best in the bunch
But they're all scrunched up like that, too

>>30917027
How do they keep messing up? Between this and OpChan I'm wondering if it'll be ready by Christmas.
Also obligatory.
That was a fast sample
>>30917292
Also may go with this sample. Can't find any other noticeable discrepancies
>>30917308
That left arm tho...
>neet looks at my address
>notices I live directly across from a middle school
>says "Wew lad"
>>30917292
The quality seems lower than the previous tho
>>30916998
Scouting patches anyone?
>tfw you've not paid your OA dues
>>30917653

>>30917059
Do. Mother. Fucking. Want.
finally got my velcro panel
>>30917318
>have chain link fence around my house to keep the niggers out
>neet bullies me for it
>>30917661
That was the OA conclave... 3 years ago, I think.
Where do you guys get samples?
I want to get one for my fleck
>>30918041
>Where do you guys get samples?
From patch companies after putting down the deposit to have patches made?
>>30917292
YES. I can die happy.
>>30918041
you just gotta look around, pay money, keep scolding them after something goes wrong
>>30917318
Itty bitty big guy small red tent
801st artwork sample came it, it was a little shit so no update for now.
>>30917653
I've got a bunch of scout shit, sadly don't remember what box they're in and I'm too lazy to unintentionally dox myself with them
>tfw in 100 year old troop club
>also never paid OA dues
>>30918110
what
>>30918198
I know that feel, I need to go find the rest of my patches.
>>30917140
>>30917214
Hey! Can any of these patches be preordered? I'd like to get one before it runs out.
>>30918746
Great. Any estimate in when in Aug/September some of those will come out?
>>30918832
last week of august/first week of september unless i get fucky samples
>go to post office to get me more stamps
>buy em, guy starts handing them over
>notice him grab a shitload of stickers and put them in an envelope along with the rest of my stuff
>hey what're those
>"air mail stamps, you put them on both sides of your mail when you want them to go to the US."
>oh, neat! When did we start doing that?
>"Beats me, but they were here when I started working so...4 years at least"
>wait what
>"Yeah, you need these if you want them to get to the US by plane, it might have to go by ground otherwise."
>oh haha
>walk out
>slowly die inside
where the fuck were these for the last 6 months
>>30918923
No wonder shit took so long.
>>30918923
HAHA OH GEEZ
>>30918923
lol
>tfw waiting on about 5 packages
Hopefully some come in today. Also: WGW, can you confirm if you are working on the GSC patch? The one with the silhouettes of Rally and May? I want to have one for myself and one sent to my house back in the states so I can get a pic with it and my CZ 75 short rail.
why does the 2hu site have so few patches related to 2hu
>>30919016
Why does Cracker's site have no patches related to crackers?
What should I expect from Kommandostore? I made an order from em today, and live on the east coast. Will the shipping take a while?
And is their shit as good as what's displayed? From what I saw, they had the best STALKER patches that I've seen.
>>30919026
I mean, it's not like I haven't thought about it.
>>30919083
What kind of crackers? Food or white people? Or both?
>>30919064
Quality's been pretty good from what I've got from them so far. Shipping can be a bit iffy, but it usually doesn't take more than a couple of weeks with them
>>30919095
Food, mostly.
GHOST OF RAZGRIZ PATCH WHEN
>>30919064
my chest got to my house 4 days after my order
>>30919141
Whenever he restocks
>>30919126
>>30919144
Well those are some pretty conflicting answers. I don't really care much about quickness anyways. I waited 3 weeks just for my Make America Great Again hat to get here.
Really looking forward to the shit I ordered though. Got a loner STALKER patch, a T-Shirt, and a gorka.
Do they take a long time to restock? I really want the freedom and bandit patches they have. Very nice looking.
>>30919222
I don't know about restock personally, but if you want you can give them a call and ask. They've got a phone number at the top of their website.
>>30918923
REEEEEEEEEE
What do you guys put your patches on?
I'm an EMT that does a lot of moving around states and I just tend to deck out my back bag with patches from the departments I work with, but my bag got stolen a few weeks ago. I need a new bag but at this point I have like 12 patches I have nothing to do with them.
>Pic related, my favorite patch.
>>30919403
On stuff
umm.. NEET, got good news and bad news. Patches came in all fine, but the drawing looked like it got spilled on or something. Was there rain when you were sending out the patches?

>>30919222
They're thieves!!!!!1111
Just kidding, they're pretty good about shipping. If they're a big promotion or new release expect a couple weeks wait. Otherwise it shows up in about a week.
Restocking? Unless it's a rare item on the global market I've never had an issue.
>>30919141
Second this, might do a cheap cosplay with my flight suit and a real patch would be awesome.

What's up
I was looking through my old stuff and found these Ace Combat 5 patches. They were a Gamestop pre-order bonus and came in sets of three. You randomly got the Osea set or the Yuktobania set. The flight stick bundle came with a giant Wardog Squadron patch too. To be honest, they are pretty shit quality and the patches I got from Razgriz Patch Guy are much nicer.
>>30917760
Nice
>>30919403
my bag, sorry to hear about your backpack
>>30920919

>>30920919
Thanks mate.
What sucks is there's some nifty patches I'll never be able to recover because they just don't have the same sentimental value.
>EMS Deadhorse, Alaska
>NYPD Patch from that went into the towers
>FDNY Unit Patch that went into the Towers
>EMS Lillyhammer
>Longyearbyne Medical Staff patch
>EMS Moscow
>EMS Vienna
>Black Mountian Interagency Hotshot Crew
>McMurdo Station Antarctic mission patch
>Dad's old USAF patch
>HABU patch that went up with The Sleds
>Patches from the Aussies and NZ Fire Departments
>Russian Smoke Jumper patches
Some bad feels man.
Some real bad feels.
Any of you guys in the Pittsburgh area see a cunt with a canvas pack with a EMS star and that McMurdo patch on the left strap kick his ass for me ;_;
Only thing he got out of it was a fucking jacket, my name tag, a pocket tool and the fuckin bag.

most patches come with velcro nowadays so you don't have to stitch them on anymore
tad gear, mystery ranch, or any backpack you happen to like. buy some sew-on velcro (4" is generally the widest commonly available) and you can make any pack velcro compatible

I know that's the most likely scenario. GW is such a shit company, as far as merchandising goes, and even worse with litigation of fan projects. Which is absurd, since the entire point of the game is player choice and customization.
So instead of cool regiment patches, t shirts with faction logos on them, and such, we get to enjoy another 500 page book about a literal Demi God crying about his daddy issues by some "literally who?" author. Boggles the mind.

Lots of people who just like guns and stuff
Has a lot to do with an attraction to power

No, as >>30922634 pointed out they're anti gun shitbags. There's a fairly small yet extremely vocal /pol/ community here, so if you see a thread start getting political or racial you just bail the fuck out and find something else to talk about, it goes full retard pretty quickly.
>ex military
I am personally, and there seems to be a good bit of other veterans on /k/ as well, but it doesn't really mean much or come up very often aside from anecdotes.
People just like guns, militaria, and the history and strategic applications of war, and generally come here to talk about it. Some fascinating stuff gets discussed here sometimes honestly.

>>30922669

I like tall women in general, but also muscular women
They tend to be built bigger and fitter/thiccer
saw a girl at the bar once who was bent over it waiting for the waiter and her ass was about stomach height on me (5'11") and was wearing cut off jean booty shorts
The nicest most toned thighs you've EVER seen
Do you know when you look at a really fat chunk of turkey or chicken?
And you think, damn that's fucking nice, I'm going to dig into that
That's those legs

if you can find someone random with an embroidery machine you could commission them but the amount of work that goes into an embroidered patch is not going to be worth it unless they charge some cash. it's not just "insert art, make patch." the person operating the machine has to program the embroidery machine how to lay down the thread which can take some time depending on the complexity of the design. they then have to make a sample and run it by you to see if you approve. if something is off, then they have to go back and reprogram.

>They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marinesand they shall know no fear.
As old as 40K itself my man, it's actually the name of one of the special rules for Space Marine units in the tabletop that keeps them from fleeing in close combat. That's why the author chose it as a title, it extremely iconic.
>Horus Heresy books
I really tried to like them, I really did. But the quality and style is all over the place, and it reads poorly as the epic Space Opera it's supposed to be, coming off more like a Soap Opera.
I'm not a "BL is shit and you're shit for liking them," kind of guy, Gaunts Ghost's is one of my favorite long running series, and the Eisenhorn and Ravenor trilogies are beyond fantastic, Abnett is a great writer. The Ciaphas Cain series is great too, Space Wolves is alright, but the writing is a little shaky.
I just wish they'd left the Heresy more mysterious and up to the fans' imaginations, with the little snippets we get from ancient Dreadnaughts and Chaos Champions sprinkled into their respective codex and novels. It was more fun that way honestly.
>>30928897
I'm aware of the crunch and fluff.
>HH books
Some are thunderingly mediocre. However ADB, Dan Abnett, and a few others are awesome writers.
>gaunts ghosts
I'm planning on getting those soon.

I prefer it to be well defined but that's just my two cents.

my dad is Eagle Scout, never let me join though. I used to score him all the Scouting stuff that came through the thrift shop my buddy had a scam out of, and i would "volunteer" to help loot the place of goodies. i had gotten him like 2 of those popcorn tins of scouting patches one weekend since it was about the only thing outside of car stuff he liked, and his ass sold them all on craigslist (i showed him how to scam bitches on there) to get high.
>>30929125
kill yourself my man
>>30929118
The few outstanding authors makes the mediocrity stand out even worse, is the issue as I see it. The Alpha Legion book was fantastic on all accounts, for example, but the Outcast Dead is boring and, well, bad.
Fulgrim and Know No Fear were great though, Prospero Burns had the potential and was written extremely well, but focusing so hard on the Wolf aspect of the Space Wolves, and the "EMPRAHS EXECUSHIONRRS" left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths, including mine. I have always been a huge Space Wolf fan, and kind of pine for the, "Vikings, but in Space," that they used to be.
If you like Abnett though, definitely check out the Ghosts series, and do yourself a favor and read the Eisenhorn omnibus at least.
GG is infantry as fuck, and really where Abnett developed that wonderful "crunchy" style of writing he has. Eisenhorn is pulp detective, mixed with Lovecraft, thrown in with some extremely nice slice of life bits that give an interesting look at the Imperium.
The Ravenor trilogy is superior, in my opinion, but you really need to read Eisenhorn to appreciate it.

while I suppose you can make that argument in this case, you post it literally every time you post here
This isn't the time or place to go advertising your meetups
>>30931514
>you post it literally every time you post here
I acknowledge that I talk it from time to time, but more often than not those conversations are me replying to someone else, rather than starting the topic myself.
I haven't even posted a NuggetFest thread since the last event the first weekend of June and I don't post Arkadia Ranch threads because they're not free events and that WOULD be blatant advertising. (Even though a lot of anons have suggested I make threads to raise awareness, I've declined.)
If you don't mind my asking, what about it bothers you? Feedback might help me find a way to do what I do while triggering less people.
>>30931573
>but more often than not those conversations are me replying to someone else, rather than starting the topic myself.
Just because you're replying to someone does not automatically give you license to include the advertisement in the post

I don't care if you do or don't post threads where you talk about exclusively that

Really isn't the thread to be shitting up but
>What was Deadhorse like?
Cold. Deadhorse is actually part of a regional Dept. Of Public Saftey sector, EMS section 6A, and is part of a patrol route of nothingness. I was on the route August to March. Deadhorse calls were mostly respiratory issues, Cardio, and frostbite. The station there consisted of two nurses and a PA, plus a few MAs. They could handle basic stuff and emergency stuff in a pinch but if shit went south it was hospital time.
It was super weird being up there. I was able to kild of just look out and be like "Yeah, this is the end of the world." You get the impression of nothingness up there.
>What shit did you do in Antarctica?
Fire fighting.
Mostly froze my ass off while jerking off inside a sleeping bag enjoying some sweet sweet high-speed sat. Internet.
And also medical things. About 1,200 personnel at the time, we did a lot of drills for things that never happened, but chiefly I filled the role of a kind of pseudo-nurse/medical staff.
It was an environment where there was no warmth. The warmest it was was a balmy 4 degrees F. I only wore one jacket that day!
>What's living at the end of the world like?

50 cents a patch would be a huge quantity to the point that you'd be sinking hundreds of dollars into one design. why do we have the patch sellers do it? because rather than pay a couple hundred for a run of 100 patches and then deal with shipping them (it's easy but time consuming) we'd rather just pay $6+shipping for a single patch
it's like the difference between paying a mechanic to fix your car or doing it yourself. parts are relatively cheap but the time and labor and knowledge involved can make it more of a hassle than most people want to deal with.

The Russian dudes were both former Navy medics who fought in Chechnya one and two. I traded a FDNY and LACFD patch for a Moscow FD and Northern Fleet Aviation patch, as well as a box of Jucy Fruit for some other things.
The Frog was a cute little thing who had neither the sense nor brains about her to realize what shit she was in with being that far North but certainly gave it a good showing.
The Brit was a generally annoying cunt the whole time. She wanted to be the boss lady I think.
The Pole was a cool guy. He was actually a Meteorological expert who was actually tacked on for research with some EU commission but was in our building. I got some UN pin or something from him.
The Austrian was somewhere between a human mind trapped in a foam cutout of a man or the mind of a foam cutout of a man in a human. Dumb as a pile of rocks but was extremely good at his job. He gave me the Vienna FD patch in trade, again, for an FDNY patch.
The two Norgies were company men recently and both had previously worked in mining. I swapped candies for candies with them. Apparently Airheads aren't a thing in Norway?
The American was just as you expect. Did his thing and went about working. We got along well since nationalism.

Don't kids have to read Maus in school?
I think I had to back in the mid 90s.
Idk if she was actually from Champagne, my French geography isnt too great but I remember it being the "south" of France.
Most of us fucked her which was kind of cool I guess. But everyone fucks everyone up there. A 3 looks like a 7 after four weeks of not seeing the fucking sun, and it gets super depressing. Which is one of the enemies of isolated work crews like that. Suicide is a serious issue, and trading is a game people play up there.
I'm convinced if the end times come I'll have an edge in a barter economy because I've learned Gypsy tricks in bartering after a Romanian stole a box of July fruit (Eurofriends, is it NOT a thing around there? Serious. I never looked) from me somehow.
But patch trading is a big thing with these crews.
There's a lot of guys who like to use them as a memory, I know I do, and swapping is a big thing. Igor from Kubinka will probably never get to visit Wichita, but you'll probably never visit Minsk. So a little bi-lingual duet and you've gotten rid of your extra Wichita patch and now you've netted yourself a funny looking Jesus with a weird corn blue.

We had actual buildings but honestly at that point the cold is just oppressive. Its the kind of deep cold that chills you down to the bone that you just can not warm up from. Trips too and from the five buildings we were usually in (Quarters, Office, Medical, canteen/commissary/post, and Rec) were maybe at most six, seven minutes, but it was just a pervasive cold. The gas and the electric heat made the insides of most buildings just fine, but you never got proper warm. You always feel it, on the tops of your fingers, at the tip of your nose. Your brow or mustache always feels like it's got wee little crystals of ice on it. Your cheeks feel rosy hours after you come in. Your shoulders never feel quite right, always a bit tight, and your balls just seem to hang a bit higher than normal.
I'm not a psychologist (because I'm not a fucking psychopath) but I'm willing to bet its a psychosomatic response almost, where the lack of sun combined with just that sort of environment just sets something off in your brain like how it does with depression. That's not my area of medicine so I'm not totally qualified to speak on it but it just...I dont know. It just kind of is.

I know what you mean bruh
I'm from Minnesota and you eventually acclimate where even when you're inside you never really get "warm"
Been there when I camp in the winter for a weekend, too
You kind of just wake up and go back into the cold

Most of mine end up on my gun bags. My WASR bag sports a bunch of related patches. I have my dad's old NG infantry patch on my gun belt, along with my /k/ shield and a Stormrider Tactical 'nine noble virtues' patch.
>>30921991
Tanith patches already exist tho, I've seen two versions on ebbay and I have one.

I've got a handful of 40k-related patches. I can snap a photo if anyone wants. I've learned that because of GW's faggotry you have to be very diligent about your hunting for them.
I don't know why they haven't figured out people will buy that shit left and right, 'course then again they did shut down their little side show that produced all the cool trinkets.
>Never got a bolter shell necklace
>The pain is real
I feel like their dumb bag tags are a trial in that direction though.

Are you me? I had 600pts of Sallies in the works as a secondary force to ally with my Space Wolves in special games. My favorite army was my IG, though. Leman Russ tanks fucking everywhere. It was glorious.

Don't bully Cracker, he's a little slow because he puts love into every patch.
>>30932907
no bully, just sadness.
>>30932890
Sorry for the wait man, had to juggle a few things these past few days to keep up with work stuff.
If there's anything I can do to make up for sadness, lemme know.

Take pictures of them, and yes I'm aware tanith patches exist, I have the skull and daggers one. It's tiny and iron on though.

What's the best way to attach loop Velcro to a jacket shoulder?
>>30933347
Needle and thread. Double stitch that shit, make the stitches tiny. Or use a sewing machine.

To be honest I totally over-paid for that. $20 but at the height of my 40k fanaticism I had to have it.
>>30933366
Do you use strips or squares? Large or small?
>>30933984
Honestly if a patch doesn't come with a loop back I use an exact-o knife and cut out a custom back for it. You can use wide rectangular strips, I'd go with 4" for that since that will cover all but the most monstrous of patches. Just look at modern US Army uniforms to get a feel for it, and be patient/prepared to start over. It took me like 5 tries to get my Diamond Dogs patch on my beret as secure as I wanted it.
Keep in mind that pulling patches on and off will put a LOT of stress on your stitches. If you think you've reinforced it enough, put the patch on it and rip in off several times hard, like you would do offhandedly. If the stitches don't budge after 5-6 yanks, you're fine, if they do, cut it off and start over, it'll save you a lot of heartache later.
