Getting loaded on Manhattans with Knob Creek rye whiskey. What do you guys consider a shot? I usually go with 50 mL since it's easier to count than 45. I've heard that some people use 30 mL as a shot.
>>30917699
>>30917842
Knob Creek is fucking amazing.
10/10 Choice, mate.
I, however, drink Jamesons, straight. Usually get piss drunk 1-2 times a week.
>>30917842
I stop counting shots and starting free pouring it after the third glass anyway.

I was drinking old fashions last Friday at dinner. Was waiting to be seated at the bar and told the bartender to make me something my parents would have drank when I alwas a kid. Things went better than I could have ever expected.

>>30920304
you can find them pretty cheap, ive seen them from 75$ to 250$. It depends on the seller and condition.
I cant speak for the new models but the old ones are nice. For a little back story, the founders were former S&W employees who wanted there own company. the Charter Arms Co. actually gave S&W and Colt a run for their money. They were able to get a frame as a strong as S&W by making it one solid frame instead giving side plates like S&W uses.
It is also touted as one of the most accurate pocket revolvers.
Pic related my first time shooting this gun(it was also my second time shooting a handgun and the flyers were me messing with POA).
>>30920221
a) I love Woodford reserves in my Old Fashioneds.

Nigger is that one of those 2k surplus p210's? Must have as soon as im done with 5 more k on my vehicle. I just realized how many newb questions I have about these guns. Im drinking coors lite, kettle one vodka, limearita, and fat tire. Yeah.
>>30921824
Yeah, P49. Love it love it love it.
>>30921890
Please tell me everything.
>>30921953
I'll write a bit about it in a little while when I have some time.
>>30921953
So, this is my P49, the Swiss military designation for a P210-2. Bead blasted finish, plastic grips - which I'll replace with KN timber ones one of these days, single-action, 8 round magazine (heel release, which would suck if I planned on shooting people with it, but for punching holes in paper doesn't bother me), 5in barrel, fixed sights - zeroed at 50m.
The safety sucks to the point of being almost decorative - stiff to manipulate, all the more for me because I'm left-handed. The heel mag release is not ideal, as discussed. The mag capacity is low. These are the only things that bother me about it at all.
As for the good: It groups less than 2 inches at 50 yards from a ransom rest; the trigger pull is lovely; the action is ridiculously smooth; the grips are comfortable and very low slip; the sights are nice and fine and give a good picture; the bore-axis is low if that's something that turns you on; the disassembly is straightforward; the reliability has been great - I would say exceptional, but out of a few thousand rounds there was one hangup caused by a flake of material from the primer that locked the gun up tight. The build quality is superb, it's accurate and fun to shoot, I love it.
Any specific things you wish to know?
>>30922161
I have this 210-1. My sentiment is pretty much exactly this. Safety is nearly unusable, heel release is kind of sucky, and it has a magazine disconnect that bugs me a little.
But the trigger is amazing, and the feeling of releasing the slide feels better than anything you can imagine, its perfect.
Really want to get a P75, but they seem to be pretty unicorn in the US for some reason.
