It's all about the Miami vice and being one of the earliest of its kind. Yeah, an S&W 10mm auto is way better, but the Bren has some cachet from its association with a popular show that still pervades pop culture.

Same with a lot of movieguns. Desert eagles, matebas, spas 12s, whatever. They might have some cool functionality or appearance, but their association with other media makes them more desirable.
