Just ordered a cold steel 39lsf leatherneck knife, do any of you have or have had this knife? I understand its nothing top notch but I got it for 75 and that seemed pretty reasonable, is it any good or is it just mall ninja fake military quality?

But in all seriousness, it's a knife. If you need to cut something, and it cuts it, then its a good knife. When it comes down to it, a military knife is just a piece of steel that you can introduce to your new friends spleen before he can show you his. It doesn't matter what brand made it, what matters is that it's sharp, and it's ready when you need it.

>it doesn't matter who makes it
I mean, if you don't mind your knife being made of cheap recycled scrap steel, instead of the good high-carbon stuff.

>If you don't mind a stick tang

I'm not denigrating high quality knives, I'm just saying when it comes to stabbing someone, a flimsy kitchen knife can get the job done, albeit much less reliably. A cheap piece of sheet metal can make an excellent knife if you know what you're doing.

I understand. I don't do much stabbing, and typically grade knives based upon how good of an edge they hold, and how long the edge lasts. IMO, cold steel is definatley mall-ninja tier.
Dear OP, Never utter the words Cold Steel on here. 90% /k/ doesn't know shit about knives and will respond with shit posts.

i see that now desu

Its a copy of a kabar. You could have got a real kabar for that price. Although the cold steel version has a better grind on it than the shitty one on a real kabar so id say its pretty good. You got a pretty tough and well made general purpose knife for $75 so id say you did ok

Full tang FTW
