/k/, are Eagletacs any good? They seem like a pretty incredible value on paper. I want something that can potentially take a beating. My Surefires still work perfectly after 10+ years but I want a more compact light.
Thinking about this one.

I've had and carried this for about 4 years, it's bright as hell, the batteries last a decent time, and it's built pretty solid.

Wow. Can't go wrong at that price.

I have one of those. Probably not that brand but it's decent. Takes one AA battery. I recommend it.

I have an eagletac on my AR. It doesn't always work when I push the button. I have to mess with it pretty often.

Just got a Thrunite TC12. Good UI and plenty bright. Can't say anything for durability yet though.

Noice. I'll look into some of these.

Also have one of these. Unbeatable for the price. Don't go for one of the expensive models until you buy one of these and wear out a few batteries on it. It's 90% of the performance at 5% of the price. The pack of AA batteries you'll buy to put in it is more expensive than the damn flashlight. Also has an o-ringed battery compartment, but I'm not sure how waterproof it really is.
PS - check Amazon for a 4-pack of Lithium AAs for $4.50 as an add-on item for purchases over $25.
