My masters was IT focused with a security concentration so I know what you're going through. Vector calc isnt that bad. Once you get past 2, you should know how all these things (limits, derivatives, integrals...) come together and have a good understanding on how they work. In my school calc 2 was the 'make or break' class. If you pass that you should be fine with Vector calc. If you have the opportunity to take diffyq (calc 4) do it. It's not easy but holy shit the things you can do. Or don't, cause you'll be sitting front of a console all day in your real job (no judgement there).

As someone who had a kid young I would recommend leaching as long as she's comfortable.

You're studying now so you're not delaying your career pathway and a year or two of full time employment can set you up if you're smart. If you used it on a house deposit (if that's your thing) that you could afford to pay off, you could save yourself 10 years or so of pissing away money in rent that you might actually recoup or earn if you ever want to sell or rent it out as an investment.

If I could go back in time and couldn't tell myself what the lottery numbers were, I'd tell myself to get to full time work as soon as finishing school and save every penny for 5 or so years until I could buy a house outright or have a tiny mortgage so I do whatever I want for the rest of my life in complete financial security.

Graduated at 22, bought a house at 24. It's so nice knowing that with every mortgage payment I'm paying for my own house rather than just paying for a roof over my head. Equity is a great feeling.
