Hey guys

Waiting on my license, have taken the safety course. I've had a chance to fingerfuck 3 pistols

>Glock 19
>Colt 1911
>S&W Pic Related

The Glock and the Colt felt good in my hand. The S&W was just a little awkward to try to release the magazine with one hand. What other semi-automatic pistols are roughly the same size as the Glock and the 1911? I prefer the weight of a metal gun but the Glock is still a consideration.

The aesthetics of a P226 give me a boner but I heard they're really big.

Budget around $1300 CAD. Leaning towards 9mm for affordable shooting. It will be a range toy only because lolcanada

Try a Ruger LC9

My cousin has one and really likes it.

The P226 isn't any larger than the guns you tried, but the classic grips have this absurd palm swell that can be uncomfortable for some people.

Man I like the Sig but that Colt is really nice looking. Do you prefer one over the other?

I like the Colt more personally. Particularly as a range toy. Fits my hand better, smoother action, better trigger, looks nicer (especially with rosewood grips).

I am the manlet of manlets. 5'4" tall here.

Walther P99 fits me like a glove. 9mm and sub $600 almost everywhere. Strongly recommended.
>>
I'm 5'6'', and I use a STI Lawman 4.0. All of the 3-4" barrel single stack 1911's from STI are a surprisingly nice fit for my hands.

I think the best fit I've had with their firearms is a 3.9 inch barrel STI Guardian.

Close call, thanks anon! Man this gun is pretty cheap. Less than $500 CAD. What makes the other stuff I mentioned twice as valuable?

>>30793286

That looks like a good option, thanks friend.
>>
>>30791223
if the P226 made you pop a boner, check out the 229. slightly smaller version of the 226.
>>
>>30793286
i'll second the p99. not a bad choice at all.

any compacts will do really. the sig p226 and smith 5906 are duty sized guns anyone who doesnt have little monkey hands will probab;y find them difficult, hell even people with normal hands might have a hard time carrying them. the 1911 is naturally a comfortable gun and being single stack helps

just look at compacts version of any well respected pistol
>glock 19
>fns9 compact
>sig 320c
>sig 228/229
>M&Pc
>some compacts of the 5900 series if you like them so much

really you should be looking at whether you want a DA/SA or polymer, or single stack vs double stack

Thorough posts, thanks friends. I'm writing all of these down. I like the compact thing but I don't want people to point and laugh if I accidentally get a girls gun.

I haven't shot anything yet so I'm not sure what my preferences are. Metal seems to feel better in the hand, I like something with some weight to it. Canada limits magazine size to 10 rounds so I don't imagine I have to worry about single/double stack, is that right?
>>
>>30791223
How small we talkin? Most people can handle a normal contact which is glock 19 size. If you need to go smaller than that but not glock 26 size there's the FNS compact which is in between the two.
>>
>>30795364

Ill point and laugj if you dont buy a 45. I know a guy selling one too... hes even local
>>
>>30791223
You're supposed to shift your grip to reach the magazine release, idiot.
>>
>>30795422

Not circus freak small. I wear Large motorcycle gloves, if that's any kind of reference. Like I said the Glock 19 felt good, even a little small. Just the bigger S&W felt like it MIGHT be a little on the big side.

>>30796345

hah, nice. details? I'm not sure, isn't .45 a little pricey to feed?

>>30796356

pls no bully.

>The aesthetics of a P226 give me a boner but I heard they're really big.

E2 grips are made specifically for people with small hands, I had to get them since my hands are small as well.

Look at the P239. It's a slimmer single stack similar to the 226/228/229 family and is incredibly comfortable for people with smaller hands

WHAT IN THE GODFUCK!?

does your benis match the hand or do you feel like your jerkin' off a toddler?

>I don't want people to point and laugh if I accidentally get a girls gun.

Nobody will ever do this unless they are an outright dick in general. Ive only seen 2 people ever mock somebody else for their firearms preference and they were literal overweight neckbeards that thought they could be opertuhs. Everybody hated them anyway

and even if people did, who gives a fuck. Buy what you like, its still a gun and will still put holes in people. Guilty pleasure buys make about well over half of my purchases
