The thing that has always strikes me when thinking about fighter and bomber drivers is if they go down, be it mechanical or hostile fire, they are always in some deep, deep shit. Use Syria as an example, an F18 or F15 driver ejects and he's landing in or near the folks he's been dropping JDAMS on.
