the issue with gorka suits is that you look like a massive goofball wearing them without all the webbing.

I heard it is pretty itchy and thin compared to a Gortex suit. They look cool though, but an American Gortex suit will be superior. Mountain flora suits on the other hand are really high in quality speaking from first hand experience and I feel they are superior to a Gorka and a Gortex, besides being less rain resistant than gortex. Harder to find though, as I think only VDV use them.

Gorka owner here. I have a BARS and have had it for about a year. Here is what I can tell you:

Quality is decent for Slav stuff. Always check your threads just to make sure nothing will fray loose, though. The uniform is comfy, very windproof, and allows for layering underneath, so it's even good in winter.

Waterproof... not so much. It will repel water for a while and the canvas is thick enough to keep you fairly dry, but don't expect miracles. If it's raining, you will get wet and worse yet, it gets heavy and sticks due to the material. Still better than a normal military uniform, though.

Finally, the color fades pretty quick. I have light streaks in mine and it has gone from olive green, to a more beige-like color. I hand wash my uniforms and this one didn't even hold up well to one washing, which disappointed me. Overall, I am satisfied with it and would buy another, though.
