Why does this matter?
>>
I don't think so. Good guns but aside from the material/machining cost the brand isn't worth that much more over the next. I really like the P228 and the P220 but I doubt I'll ever set out to buy one.

People like what they like though

Why the 228 over a 9mm 229?
What about the 239?
>>

Supposedly the German made ones have better machining/materials/QC over the US made ones.

P228 has better proportions. There are some subtle differences between the two.

The P239 is cool but it's not exactly as small as it looks so it's passable IMO. I hate the 238 and 938. 230 and 232 are nice. 290, 224,227 are abominations. The 320 is disappointing but I blame that on the 250 for that. Not a bad gun, but not as good as it could have been.

>names two other brands not worth the money

They are overpriced. They are certainly unique from other brands, but the pricing is high because of name recognition and demand. They are riding the "Navy SEALS guyz!!!" hype like Glock and HK.
>>
>>30781449
I finger fucked a 239 scorpion today and it is way thinner than a 229 but for a single stack 9mm it's huge and heavy. It points great though and I bet it shoots like a dream. So mixed feels.

I disagree, lots of people want a reputable high end metal frame gun that isn't either a 45 or made in Argentina. P series sigs are about the only choice widely available at gun shops. Others include the browning hi power which despite its cult following is a pretty shitty gun or the cz which also has a bit of a cult following. The polymer frame cz are pretty decent shooters but I don't have experience with the metal ones. I do know the sig is good. So for metal guns, sigs are really dominating the 9mm market because the competition is limited. Their 320 is also excellent in the polymer field but so is Glock, hk, Walther, Steyr and fn among many others.

I recommend FNP/FNX if you want a good alternative DA/SA with "sig style" controls and ergos.
>>
>>30786990
I fucking love it. If you've got the money for it, I think it's worth it. But to be a voice of reason, don't go into debt over it.

I'm not going to jump on the richfag/poorfag thing, stay within your budget and there's nothing wrong with that.

The only thing I plan on changing are the grips. I'm not a fan of the tacky legion medallions so I'll probably switch it out for some Hogue G10 grips or put on some E2 grips.
>>
>>30787047
>I'm not going to jump on the richfag/poorfag thing, stay within your budget and there's nothing wrong with that.

Fucking this. It is definately a lot nicer than your average P226/229 but you really need to ask yourself "do I really need the extra features"?

If you're not able to afford it, there's nothing wrong with a cpo or trade in 226 with an srt and maybe some x ray sights. Not saying the Legion is a waste because it is 100% worth the price.
>>
>>30787073
The legion is like not even that much more expensive like what $200 if you are going to pay $1000 anyways might as well get the one you like
>>
>>30787047
by debnts i mean use a credit card
I have the money I just don't like using my cards unless I need to

>>
>>30787311
The trigger in the SAO is a true match grade trigger unlike the combat trigger in the da/sa model. It is amazing.

>>30787311
Nope, I just have an aversion to external hammer SAOs if it's not a 1911.

>>30787575
While it is a combat trigger, it's still a custom Grayguns trigger and fucking phenomenal.
>>
>>30787796
Why the fuck does this one have a weird trigger lol? Is it better than the da/as legion?
>>
>>30787826
>Is it better than the da/as legion?
No, it's just different. I prefer DA/SA. If you're someone who prefers SAO and likes 1911's and thumb safeties then the P226 SAO is for you.

Don't know too much about them but they are regarded as high quality 'pocket' guns. They're DA/SA just like the main P-Series line of Sigs if you're into that.

May or may not be 100% apparent but I've heard people complain about the placement of the PPK's safety.
