Is anyone planning to get one of these?
>>
>>30772137
I would love one if i had the money.
>>
>>30772137

Most likely I will but what is the deal with 7.62x39? Can it use AK mags?

>>30772148
What caliber would you go for?
>>
>>30772241
At first? Not sure. but I would get uppers for both 8mm Hertz & 7.62x39 eventually. Assuming it doesnt tank hard before i could manage it.
>>
>>30772209
Well they say the models all use stanag mags so I'd assume thats a no go. At least their spare mags aren't really terribly pricey.
>>
>>30772137
I want one. They'd better submit one to the RCMP for an FRT.
>>
>that shitty looking stamping

eeww
>>
>>30772137
How much?
>>
>>30772297
about 2k for the pre order. unsure on current pricing.
>>
>>30772137
Like 90% of the wehraboos on /k/
>>
>>30772297
$1,799.99 starting out for the STG-N in any caliber.

>>30772270
I will probably start out with 7.62 and would like 8mm but I don't know if I could justify $450 for a cartridge I'll probably very rarely shoot.
>>
>>30772293
Nigger, stamping is the primo apex of metallurgical art.
>>
>>30772137
>>30772241
Look guy, we know you are part of the production team just from your photo names.

We aint gonna buy that shit if its over $800. And that is top fuckin dollar. Another pretty much deadnuts requirement is that it has to be in 7.62x39, which should of been a given seeing as 7.65Kurz is its predecessor.

This STANAG blasphemeous bullshit needs to stop. Aint no one wants to shoot 33cpr shit out of a $2k lookalike STGay16.

And buy a higher-tonnage metal press. Shit looks like a fuckin Matchbox car from Taiwan with those soft-ass folds and stamps.
>>
>charging this much for a stamped steel weapon

what the fuck
>>
>>30772270
>>30772458

Two people in this thread managed to fuck up the name of 8mm Kurz. Or 7.92x33 Kurz if you prefer.

Either way, you are both disappointing, and should lurk more.
>>
>>30772137
Wow they really need to work on that finish.

If they expect somebody to be happy with a $2k purchase it better not look like shit.
>>
>>30772479
It's a niche. It's supposed to look like an ugly piece of shit pieced together in a rush , because that's what the originals were
but it was first and it was German, so there's a few customers there
>>
>>30772479
To be fair they are a pretty small shop which does warrant the higher price. I believe there is another company doing new production imports for $5k.
>>
>>30772528
>asking somebody to spend $1800 on a semi auto that shoots intermediate caliber cartridges
>when they say "it looks like shit" the justification is "well the originals were so..."
>>
>>30772293
you need to stop doing this, you are the guy that picks out normal things and then says "eeww"

are you a girl or just sensitive?
>>
>>30772551
It's not meant to compete with modern rifles.
It's meant to be a working model of the old MP-44. The different calibers are just so people can actually shoot it from time to time, instead of waiting for the once-every-3-years run of 7.92x33 that Prvi does
>>
I would in 300blk
>>
>>30772361
>like a gun that just so HAPPENED the be used by the germans for 1 year
>heh must be a wehraboo

Lets be honest kid you are fresh off the boat, from reddit, kid? heh I remember when I was just like you. Braindead. Lemme give you a tip so you can make it in this cyber sanctuary: never make jokes like that. You got no reputation here, you got no name, you got jackshit here. It's survival of the fittest and you ain't gonna survive long on 4chan by saying stupid jokes that your little hugbox cuntsucking reddit friends would upboat. None of that here. You don't upboat. You don't downboat. This ain't reddit, kid. This is 4chan. We have REAL intellectual discussion, something I don't think you're all that familiar with. You don't like it, you can hit the bricks on over to imgur, you daily show watching son of a bitch. I hope you don't tho. I hope you stay here and learn our ways. Things are different here, unlike any other place that the light of internet pop culture reaches. You can be anything here. Me ? heh, I'm a judge.. this place.... this place has a lot to offer... heh you'll see, kid . . . that is if you can handle it.
>>
>>30772583
Yeah man I get that, but you have to understand who would want to buy a rifle that looks like shit? Especially one for that much?

Don't get me wrong, they look pretty cool and I am still considering getting one, but slapping something together because "it's supposed to look like shit" is modern art tier retardation.

I'm not paying money for an art-piece, I'm paying money for a fucking weapon.
>>
>>30772583

I'll take obvious shit for 500 Alex.

>Your question is, what is an easy way to become independent from over priced factory ammo, and get better ammo in the process?

this.
>>
>>30772631
>What is handloading, alex?
>valuing your time so little that you won't buy factory ammo
if you enjoy it, have fun
but in rounds that cost less than .30-06, fuck that
I don't have a lot of free time, and market rate is more than that
>>

>>
>>30772619
This isnt even pasta, ive checked. Wtf dude
>>
>>30772583
SO instead of 50000 people buying one for $800, you want to charge damn near as much as a SCAR17 for a "historically correctly looks-like-shit" rifle in a non-historically correct caliber, whom your customer-base is now projected to be only 0.1%? Great business thoughtprocess.

You'll be under after the first 20 are produced and sold.

>>30772458
>no one wants STANAG
Sure, there's another company making a true StG-44 replica that uses original StG-44 mags, the mags cost about $130 for repros though.
The gun also has an MSRP of $5,000 so have it you swarthy shit cunt.

Assuming the ATF ever actually gives them the go ahead.

Once again Based Ian proves himself to be right. Create a quality reproduction at the cost of a high price and everything backfires with the product ultimately ending up failing.

This is why we can't have nice things and have to deal with relentless outsourced and farmed out AR-15 garbage filling up the gun industry that moves at a glacial pace.

HMG is always fucking late on delivery. My CETME was delivered like six months late.

Does it run though? I saw the vid of the shooting of the original full auto version and apparently those things are hit or miss. Making a bad design work may have been that delay...who knows..
>>
>>30777033
Yeah. I bought into too much of the hype though. I though it was going to be really nice like my PTR but in 5.56.

It only runs well with the mags it came with. USGI Aluminum stanags are hit and miss.

I like my bargian bin mid length freefloat 600 dollar ar15 build much better and miss the modularity and nice recoil impulse, ergonomics and features the ar15 has.

Ill probably sell it on gunbroker when people start scalping the prices on them.

Mags were by and large the biggest problem with the CETME L's. The mags were generally shit.
Plus they don't run USGI's well without modification.
Spanish troops used to police the shit out of USGI mags whenever they were interoperating with US/NATO allies, despite having to modify them to work reliably

The WW2 buff in me demands that I do, but there are other purchases I would like to make beforehand (PTR-91 with some nice glass, M1 Garand to let freedom ping, building an AR with a Strike Eagle, and a couple of pistols).
It seems cool, but imho nothing more than an overly expensive rangetoy/ conversation piece for right now, at least until reviews are in and I'm outta college and in a career where I have money to burn.

Here we go again. dumb people experiencing Sticker shock on steep reproduction prices as soon as they see the product for sale. People like you are the main reason repros in general are so expensive.

Everyone is willing to jump on the bandwagon of begging for repros but when the final product comes out they just want to compare the final cost to a bargain bin rifle.

By the way this reproduction is extremely high quality and every single part is as high or higher quality than the original German design. The 1.8lb receiver is even milled from a 13lb block of 4140 steel.

>tfw I got one brand new for $350 w/ spare mags and the optic rail

This HMG repro is a great concept, but they really need to work on finish if they expect somebody to walk into a gunstore and feel the compulsive urge to buy it.

I'm sure the finaly product will look pretty good, but why anybody would even take that awful of a picture of one is beyond me. It seriously looks like shit and nobody is going to want to spend $1800 on something that looks like ass unless there is some genuine historical value to it.
>>
>>30783431
the 22lr is basically an airshit gun that can shoot 22lr,

As for the HMG, that's wrong with the finish? I agree that the wood sucks, but that can be switched out with repros or originals

>IB4 for $1,800.00 that shit should already be done for you!!!

ehh... not a big deal for me as I already got a replacement stock set on the way... and will probably switch out the dust cover if the prototype one is what ships...
