The recent shit quality reports have been Golden Tiger .223 with deep primer pockets that use 5.45x39 milspec primers instead of Tula commercial. Those are pretty shit.

I wouldn't be so quick to damn their 7.62x39.

Op here, ive had zero malfunctions in 2000 rounds, i have 2000 rounds left but wanted atleast 5000 more by election cuz i can, but the rounds i have now were purchased a year ago, not recent

It's not how hard the primers are, the primers are literally sunk too deep into the case for the firing pin to reach. Everyone on AR15.com is complaining that even the hardest hammer springs don't make it reliable and they've resorted to installing longer firing pins.

Well i think ill just test out 100 rounds if i can somehow get 2016 manufactered gt, they ussually dont tell you, maybe ill get it off gunbroker and ask around nicely, then based on that ill switch or buy in bulk,

If gt did shit the bed, whose the best second? I hear great things about wolf, even in this thread, i used to buy tula in bulk but i averaged 5 failures per 1000, they went off the 2nd time but still

It's an io, yes. I figure once i reach ~2k i'll just send it to the factory for a new one as per warranty.

I bought 3000 rounds of the 7.62x39 in May and June. Shot 1100 rounds of it so far without issue in my Saiga. Glad I didn't buy the 223 offering since I had it in my cart ready to go, but held off.

I can personally get Barnaul really cheap where I am, and I shoot it out of my SKS. I think I've had one bad primer in the neighbourhood of 300 rounds, I've never had it produce a malfunction in my rifle and I find it accurate enough to suit my needs. I personally can't say anything bad about Barnaul so far, that being said I haven't shot a whole load of it.
