Mauser Action is best action bread.
My M 48 A
my vz-24, i got a field gauge and it doesn't chamber but it seems close. Im pretty new to milsurp, so oes anyone know how many rounds before i should think about taking to a gunsmith?

talk to a gunsmith whenever you think something is wrong with your gun. And stop shooting it then. You don't want to make things worse or blow shit up next to your face
are vz-24's basically the same thing but just in a different caliber?

but it doesn't chamber a field gauge doesn't that mean its still safe
m96 best mauser

Good start OP; here's my Czech Vz.98/22.

BRNO-fist; that's an attractive rifle. Unless you re-load 8x57, I wouldn't worry about the headspace until it actually closes on the field gauge.

Vast majority of Vz.24s are in 8x57, same as the M48. There is a difference in the action though; M48 uses the FN intermediate-length (7-5/8" center-to-center of action screws) M98 action whereas the Vz.24 uses the standard-length (7-7/8" center-to-center) M98 action like most Mauser 98s.
