Alright.
A shotgun is built to go to hell and back and to hell and back again. That being said

Shouldering the shotgun will cause the butt stock to wear out faster, pulling the trigger will cause the springs to wear out faster, so on and so forth.
Either keep your gun as a safe queen or shoot it and have fun. If your bolt catches EVERY time you shoot, you may sacrifice 450 rounds, which isn't a lot for a shotgun.
