Honestly, I barely know anything about the Rhodie fan-thing going on, I just wanted eventually some old camo pattern uniform without the risk of it being discolored or splitting at the seams thats been sitting in some warehouse for half a century. The rest were either under the UANC, ZANU, or UNFP. Thus for the first time ever, Blacks were finally equal to whites without having to join the military.

Mugabe, however, got butthurt that his political party wasn't thebruling party despite having twelve seats in Parliament. He accused Zimbabwe-Rhodesia being a puppet government to the whites which led to UN and British Intervention for the new government to dissolve and allow anither elections under the Lancaster House Agreement. This led to a call for the government and ZANU/ZAPU to surrender arms. The government under Muzorewa followed but Mugabe fooled the British and UN. He later ordered his men to threaten and terrorize the local population to vote for him, leading to him to win the government and parliamentary majority than the UANC and RF. At first the UANC and RF composed a plan to form a coup if Mugabe won, but were droped due to world reaction

The Rhodesian Security Forces were merged with the guerrillas forming the Zimbabwe Defense Force, under the the eyes of Joshua Nkomo. This led to a diaspora and mass migrations of whites out of Zimbabwe. In the end, the migrations of white farmers out of the country led to Mugabe's close supporter to be responsible for agriculture. Surprise, surprise, famine struck and they starved since they have no teaining or knowledge of plantation or industrial farming. The Rhodesian troops had issued equipment, but as in every conflict (well, at least in the pre-2000's) soldiers took it upon themselves to improvise and modify to fit a better standard for themselves personally. For this reason, you can see quite a few different variations in gear when it comes to smaller things like footwear, shorts, ect.

One of the types of footwear favored by soldiers were in similar style to these
