About to decide on getting a cx4 carbine in 9mm. Anyone have any thoughts or pros and cons on them?

Why not get a CZ scorpion evo for the same money?
>>
>>30733319
>>30733380
Why not get a high point carbine for WAY less money?
>>
>>30733319

Great gun, great fun.

Get one in .45acp though, that long barrel really shines then.

super accurate, and you'll make all the poor kids cry and say "muh keltec"
>>
Why not get hookers and blow for the same money?
>>
>>30733400

>i see you want something good
>why don't you buy this shitty thing instead
>>
>>30733319
I've got a camp-9 and a sub2000 that I enjoy very much. anyone know how the cx4 compares? Would it be worth adding to my collection?
>>
>>30733400
I've had one, well I bought one for my ex and shot it more than her. It was alright but wasnt very ergonomic and you're stuck at $25 10 rounders since promags are junk.
>>
>>30733380
I'm just not the greatest fan of them really
>>
>>30733380
The Evo isn't really that great IMO, the safety digs into your thumb knuckle all the time.

>>30733400
OP never said he was poor.

>>30733443
Hi-Point came out with a 20rd mag, which supposedly works, unlike the ProMag 15rd ones.
Protrudes like crazy though, while the Beretta a 20rd mag would be almost flush fitting in the CX4
>>
>>30733428

You'll dig it then. Just higher quality and heavier.
>>
>>30733470
They did? I thought the were made like specifically for the Clinton ban years
>>
>>30733511
Hi-Points have existed since like the 90's or earlier.

The 20rd mags came out just a while ago, I'm guessing it has something to do with the original owner dying.

>>30733319
Love mine, don't get to shoot it as much as I'd like to.

I've got one in 9mm and it is one of the most fun guns I've ever shot. It's accurate, very comfy, and has been 100% reliable through ~6k rounds (80% of which has been cheap steel case Tula/Wolf), and plus 30 rounds of 9mm is nothing to laugh at and surplus 15 round mags can easily be had for around $10 if you're cheap (and my gun has had zero issues with any of the dozen or so cheap surplus mags I've got)

My Cx4 is one gun that I will never sell. Hell, I'd sell my FAL over my Cx4, that's how much I love this little carbine.

I'm not sure I'd be ok with paying the current ~$800 price tag for one. For that money I'd rather just get a Scorpion with a brace or just go all out and double that for an SBR'd Turk MP5 clone. I paid $500 for mine used with five surplus mags and I'd do it again at that price in a heartbeat.
>>
>>30733319
Own one. Love it. Comfy, low recoil. Good ergos.
>>
>>30733319
I have one. It i a classy, sexy and fun gun. you wont regret it. Feeds anything.

>>30733319
good for when Cylons move in next door.

I bet that by %, more pistol caliber carbines are outfitted with Walmart tier red dots than any other firearm category.
>>
>>30739827
I'll argue that .22's and airguns have that more than anything.

>>30739521
That's dumb though, you can easily teach a kid to handle an M1 Carbine or something.
>>
>>30733319
Just get an MPX or MP5 so you can have something of quality that is actually practical
>>
>>30733380

you can't hunt cylons with a scorpion
>>
>>30733380
>blow back
>all plastic
>brittle plastic
>cracking plastic
>enjoy your cracked stock
>cant swap calibers
>dont forget about your splitting magazines
>>
>>30733319
Only bad thing about them is the heavy trigger pull. Other than that they are a great pistol caliber carbine, especially if you already have a pistol that shares mags

They should come standard with shrouds or fake silencers to cover the skinny barrel.

There are replacement triggers which are dramatically better, but I don't know what they cost.
