It's much more than 10k, and the plastic bags are 90% CCI. After shooting some the CCI is a superior round. My CCI stingers are 32gr @ 1640fps, which is rediculously fast.

In a SHTF situation, the first thing that gets hunted down are large game. Meaning most of what will be available to hunt need smaller rounds to preserve the meat.
It is not as loud, making it easier to conceal one's position, especially with a suppressor.
People and animals can still get killed with 1 22lr in the head.
You want to preserve your intermediate and heavier cartridges for combat, and this serves as a way to have very cheap and usable substitute for mundane shit like varmint elimination and hunting small game for food.
It's far easier to use as trading goods and preserving your battle ammo too.

You know, I've seen .22 rise and fall for quite a few years now but where I'm at have never seen ANYWHERE sold out of .22 except the pawn shop. Walmart has a shit ton, Rural King has probably 50k rounds of assorted at any given time, Scheel's is always stocked up and the Farm and Fleet has probably 10-20 buckets and most of a pallet just sitting.

Knowing that I've never seen a reason to splurge on it because it's never disappeared. What are we talking about profits wise if someone were to acquire close to 100k rounds of .22? I'll pickup all brass I see regardless of what it is. If it's centerfire and in useable condition, I'll clean it and reload it (if I shoot it) or clean it and sell it. For brass that's split or rimfire brass, I keep in buckets and take it to the scrap metal recycler and get money for it. It's not much money per kg for brass, but it all adds up.

Albeit I will say I wish I hadn't put them in the bags, because without an oxygen packet they're showing a slight tarnish on the brass that the normal box would of alleviated. I'm considering oxygen packs put in all my ammo boxes now.

Also since all the rounds are brushing against each other, an additional type of wear is imposed. It's slight though.

The plastic bags are almost all CCI so I need to take care of them. I stopped buying budget bulk packs about a year ago.

I really like shooting these targets with my ruger mk. III.

It's a fun challenge and a great way to warm up before each shooting session. Makes we want a red-dot too since numbers 8-11 disappear behind the front sight at anything beyond 10 yards.

They are good targets for any caliber, really. But I have so much fun with these and my .22.
