>>30729972
What kind of question is that? Of fucking course we want dirty pictures of sexy aircraft.
>>30730033
Sadly no, i used to go there and see it when i was a kid, but they've since moved it into an experimental hangar that no ones really allowed in to
>>30730055
Yes
Dumping in order so just stay with me
Do you think any of the old warbirds could be made operational again?
>>30729972
>Anyone want pictures?
Not really. Fuck do I care about rotary winged aircraft if I'm not jumping from them?
>>30729972
Anything super interesting ?
>>30730186
Then look the other way you autist
>>30730192
As far as experimental stuff goes, they have it all in a couple auxiliary hangars to the side, but this wasnt here last time
Time for some meat and potatoes

I was just about to ask if everything there looked like a bunch of fake/cheesy garbage. But it is good to see the indoor aircraft are pristine.
Heres something interesting
Some cobras

Anyone lurking still?
>>30730691
I am. Pretty neat, desu.
>>30730831
Still there, appreciating the dump, rotary wings are neat.
>>30730843
You're going to see some canvas in a bit as well
>>30730911
>>30729972

>>30730988

If you look closely you can see charlie in the bushes
>>30731273
just a really neat aircraft, and knowing what I know now, I would love to go climb back in and look around some more
>>30731288
Wish I owned a Commanche, shit would be so cash.

BV-347
A chinook that has been stretched, given more power, rotors with an extra blade and longer blades, wings that rotate between horizontal and vertical for flight and hover, and a second cockpit that lowers and is fear facing so a pilot can fly the bird while looking at a cargo to be sling loaded
>>30731288
Ill bet, i was real young when it was in the main museum, then one day they threw her on a flatbed and i never saw it again
>>30731374
Got a pic of the helicopter used to kill Osama?
>>30731396
Close
>>30731374
a real shame, they really should throw the blades back on it inside the main museum, I mean that Comanche is like 1 of 7 ever built, I think they built 2 that actually flew and 5 others that were still under construction (citation needed...I believe I had been told this at one point), and at $7 billion expended on the program, whew thats an expensive heli!
>>30731438
>Spent 7 bilion
>Let's cancel it because we've spent too much
7 bilion...
>>30731438
Yeah, it was a sight to behold, at least they'll never throw out the canvas
Drones...whatever
And thats pretty much all she wrote, i took some more pictures at the exhibits but for the most part i just stuck with the aircraft.
>>30731705
thanks m8
>>30731705
thank you OP
>>30731487
Sometimes you've got to stop throwing away good money after the bad. The Comanche had several severe problems and the contractors had intractable project management issues nad had proven themselves unable, or unwilling, to resolve the problems with the aircraft and the development program.
>>30729972
Fantastic pics, OP.
>>30729972
Nice thread OP
Thanks anon.
>>30731705
Top thread, mate.
