I like my G-Shock
>>
>>30676042
I like the 5600 series as much as the ither guy. But the later gshocks starting with the 6600 are better for operating startjng with the possibility of having a huge central button for the backlight that can be activated wearing gloves.

Alos negative displays are shit to read in certain situations so they dont work for me

Wearing a G90001VER these days and I love it
>>
>>30676469
Srsly considering one of these....
>>
>>30676554

All valid complaints.

What I do like about the 5600 is how small and thin it is.

What I don't like about it is that it doesn't come with a dual clasp band like the bigger G-shocks like the Rangeman and that there isn't a a clock always visible no matter what mode you're in like the bigger g-shocks.

I guess my ideal G-shock doesn't exist. It's a shame they don't make more thing and less bulky g-shocks that still have some of the features of the new big ones.
>>
>>30676042
I have had one for about 5 years and love it. It's true that the negative display can be difficult to read in some situations though

Negative displays

>great in low light situations like dark and near dark
>great in daylight or really bright indoors, basically great outside no matter what

>sucks shit indoors if it isn't bright

Good thing mine has a big button and an automatic backlight when you raise it up.

Excellent taste OP. I have 2.

The only better one is by Garmin, but the bells and whistles arent for everyone
>>
>>30676670
Yeah but then again: The auto backlight behaves to beatteries like a fat girl does at an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

Thats one of the first things I do when I buy a new G: turning the auto backlight off.

>>30676622
Yeah, the 5600 is indeed the thinnest of the Gs afaik. If you gotta wear dress shirts on a daily base, its basically the only G-option because lets face it: You wont fit the cuffs of a nice shirt over the thicccck ass DW6900
>>

Shiiiet. I just wore mine to work today. Looks pretty retro and tough, but poorfag. I just like it so much. Rather wear it than one of my overpriced swiss analog watches.

Lol I totally forgot about the solar ones. My bad. I only got battery ones.

Yeah they do look retro and thats what I like about them. Id rather wear a digital watch than analog. I even wore my 5600 under my wedding suit. No need for flashy watches.

I have one of these and it's been running very well for a year now. A little heavy at first, but a great gateway automatic movement watch. For about $50-$100, they can't be beat. Of course a quartz movement Seiko or digital Casio will be better, but nothing beats a watch made by drunk slavs.

They make it with a rubber watchband, and it says "water resistant 10BAR" on the back.

Funny, I was looking up a classic action movie not enough people care about, especially on /k/
It's called SPEED. Based keanu on top form as a cool swat cop, bomb on bus etc.
Anyway I was reading about it, and turns out keanu's watch has a big following among watch lovers. Some kind of special rugged model apparently.

Failing that, go for the bog standard Casio model which is so common it's known as the Bomber's Watch, because it's regularly used in IEDs.
>>
>>30677180
I had the same model. Google "bomber's watch". The wiki article leaves out the real reason it gets used in bombs: the strap breaks so quickly you might as well blow it up as soon as you get it.

Well for one they're the lead producers of digital watches (with or without additional sensors) because of their simple and precise modules. You can get a three year old child and teach them how to use a Casio digital watch because of the simplicity. Also some models while not being that pretty really DO take a lot of abuse for not a lot of money
