It's possible. You should get a few game cameras, and regularly check your land for signs of beastly debauchery. (In the daytime, or course)

I was stuck in a cult camp (now defunct) in Montana for half a year. Between the social isolation from the true believers I was in with, the physical isolation, the lack of internet access, and dangerous levels of woo pushed at me I sort of lost my grip on reality for a while.
