Dinko Valev has been using a MT-LB (vehicle in OP's picture) to hunt down immigrants on Bulgaria's south border.

Is a tracked APC the best kind of vehicle for this job? Could he have done better with his vehicle choice?

if you understand the importation process, are mechanically competent enough to do frequent maintenance/repairs, and are committed to the never-ending search for spare parts, then no, you aren't an idiot. Keep in mind that spares are hard to find for anything from WARPAC if you live in the US.
