It is a piece of metal that gets placed where the loop part of it is between the disconnector and the hammer is outside of it and the tail is at the back. When in action the BCG hits the tail and shoves the hammer off of the disconnector which also fires a round. This makes the firearm fire in full auto for however long the trigger is held down.

Another note about these is that Colt changed the design after these came out and most third-party receivers are based on later designs, so these will not work out of the box with a majority of new AR lowers.

But something like an old Colt SP-1 (which are currently being bought up by Connecticut faggots due to their ban) will work just fine if you want to go this route.

But a bumpfire stock will give you a somewhat similar result without the risk of meeting Tyrone and the Black Lives Matter Teabagging Association.

No, the LL does not require a full auto FCG. The autosear that tucks under your rear take down pin is the one that requires a hooked trigger and a "M16" BCG.
