Any thoughts on what's become a must buy before the end of the year? Talking mostly handguns here, well aware of the AR situation. I figure with all the shit going on here, even more companies are going to be pulling out.
>>
>>30599794
combo of hd ammo you dont find locally and bulk buys. having a hard time deciding what and balancing it
>>
>>30599794
if you're in Cali, prioritize getting the fuck out. Otherwise I'd go with ammo over guns.
>>
>>30599794
Ammo over guns cause if in november Newsom gets his wish youre going to need to need some fucking voodoo magic to get ammo in any kind of reasonable timeframe
>>
>>30599794
>pre ban
not anymore.
>>
>>30600021
This this this. Don't forget to learn how to reload and get a shit ton of brass, propellants, and bullets of different grains. Find some decent reloading presses and learn how to make your own firearms
>>
>>30599868
In progress.
>>30600021
Yeah, I was thinking that bulk buying ammo would be a good idea before any of that happens.
>>30600039
I guess this will be my excuse to finally get into reloading too.
>>
>>30599794
Also find somewhere safe to hide your guns when the legislators finally go full retard and try to institute a total ban like the yuppies did in SF in 2005
>>
>>30600110
Not to mention that there is a shit ton of reloading data charts online for a variety of rounds amd wildcat cartridges that cam be made. I suggest to save up and start learning quick before it's too late
>>
>>30600122
This as well. Learn how to preserve your firearms and store them properly in a time capsule or makeshift time capsule. Bury them deep, and ensure there's plenty of debris and materials between that won't allow a metal detector to pick it up
>>
>>30599794

That the gun laws are only going to get worse, and that if possible, you should not move here. They're doing the same with Austin. They have left California because they've fucked it up so much with bad law-making and Democratic politics now they come to Austin and do the same thing there.

Furthers my theory that people don't leave to flee or escape things but to get to a new area first so they can impose and lead the discrimiation and hoard the power and authority for themselves.
>>
>>30604399
I'm thinking of the sequoia forest. Not sure what you're thinking of.
>>
>>30604408
Austin has always been shitty. However it has gotten worse, but there's still a good amount of traditional Texan voters so the immigrants can't push things too far yet.
>>
I'm in the Sierras. For those of us born in California, it's pretty damn depressing. We've got the richest agricultural base in the entire world, beautiful landscapes, and great food, but the Bay Area and LA fucking ruin it all. They gobble up resources, and because they're disproportionately represented in the state legislature (more like the LA legislature...), they pretty much get whatever they fucking want. I mean, environmental protection and LGBT rights are great. I love those and benefit greatly from them, but these big city wusses need to be knocked down a peg. I gave up on voting years ago because the Democrats are urban cowards living off identity politics and fear, and the Republicans are environmentally irresponsible and anti-LGBT, which isn't cool in my book. I've never been a religious person, but when they proposed splitting California in six a few years back, I literally prayed for the first time in my life. It's just sad the way things have gone.
>>
>>30601922
Come on in, vote out the gun grabbers, fight the good fight
>>
It's hilarious how much people are freaking out about this here in CA. I understand the concern, buy why comply with something that's not going to get enforced and is going to be stalled in court.

My local sheriff In the foothills is very pro ccw. He's not gonna do shit. The state is going to have to inventory 10/22s, ARs... they don't stand a chance honestly. CA state workers are slow as fuck. There are simply way too many rifles.

I see mass non-complaince, followed by court battles about whether as rifles are common use. The fudds will turn on the Dems when they have to register their 10/22s and mini 14s and they will get hit politically and lose the supermajority. Once weed is legall and Clinton is pretty people will start questioning why they are dem in the fist place.

I grew up here. CA has a lot of progun people. It used to be tough as fuck on crime. The GOP will come back someday, and with it, gun rights.

Honestly a lot of the blame here falls on the GOP. They run social conservatives here and think they are going to win. Fucking morons got our rights taken away cause of abortion and gay marriage. Stupid fag GOP.
>>
>>30604447
Is there even enough money in the state to try to enforce it in all of California?
>>
>>30604435

I seriously don't understand why anybody gives a shit about gay people. Like, I've grown up in Seattle and I went to school on Capital Hill, so I have more than a passing familiarity with the whole thing, and it all seems like a bunch of histrionic garbage to me. I do not understand why anybody gives that "movement" any measure of attention or respect.
>>
>>30604472

No. The stste is also going to be hit across the board with legal marijuana. State agencies want to get their share of the regulation. There is no way they are ready to enforce these laws. No fucking way.
>>
>>30604482

>>
>>30604447
More concerning to me is the ammo registry. Even more (a lot more) business will refuse to do business with those in California, and those who do will jack up their prices even higher.
They aren't coming with our guns, not when we can are still 'allowed' to get 80% lowers, but getting ammo legally is going to be a huge pain in the ass in the future.
>>
>>30604546
The honest answer is that we can't. We can't comply. They are telling us to dispose/sell/destroy hundreds, perhaps thousands dollars worth of property that were perfectly legal before. They are asking us to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on new purchases (on niche products, which we will get scalped to fuck on) out of the blue to make our rifles compliant their asinine rules.

Most of us simply can't comply for financial reasons, and they simply can't enforce for financial reasons. It's all one huge clusterfuck of liberal feel-good politics.
>>
>>30604585
Well if you cant comply the least yall can do is make a show of it and say you wont comply
>>

OP, regarding your topic, what guns do you already have and you mentioned you knew of the "AR situation", does that mean you already have one, have plans to get one or just giving up on the Idea of having one?

I'd say you need only five guns period and then just consentrate on ammo.

Don't even buy optics or other accessories.

I was just about to say.

Senate Bill 1235 requires individuals to submit to a background check and be entered into a state database in order to purchase ammunition. Sellers of ammunition will be required to hold an ammunition vendor's license. All transfers of ammunition will be required to be recorded by the license holder with the purchaser's name, address, and phone number. This creates a statewide registry of citizens who have bought ammunition legally.
Senate Bill 1446 Is an outright ban on the possession of firearm magazines with capacities greater than 10 rounds. There is no clause for grandfathering in magazines acquired before the ban. The law reads :
1) Remove the large-capacity magazine from the state.
(2) Prior to July 1, 2017, sell the large-capacity magazine to a licensed firearms dealer.
(3) Destroy the large-capacity magazine.
(4) Surrender the large-capacity magazine to a law enforcement agency for destruction.
Senate Bill 880 and Assembly Bill 1135 expand the state's legal definition of "assault rifle" to include rifles with detachable magazines which are released by the actuation of a "bullet button". A "bullet button" is a specially designed magazine release which requires a small tool to actuate. This expansion bans the unregistered possession of rifles with such specially designed magazine releases. This expansion broadens the scope of the "assault rifle" registry to now include rifles which have devices specifically designed and installed to prevent the expedient reloading of magazines. It should be noted that rifles of all types kill fewer than 500 U.S. citizens each year, while Influenza kills on average 30,000 people annually.

Either move out or start peacefully protesting and disobeying these unjust laws.
