I used the peel washer, peel washers a shit
Crush washers are much more easy to use.
If I've got one when you get able to buy it I'll send it too.
I think it helped a bit, but it was on the 20" so it didn't have much to start with aha.

I'm leaning towards 6.5 or 6.8. I'm not a very good shot but am wanting to get into longer ranges. I normally just ring steel at 100-200yds. It would be cool to get good at 400-600. Part of me wants to do 6.8 because I can shoot 400-600 with it and it does well out of short barrels too. Grendel out of a short barrel seems silly.

Grendel actually does better out of short barrels than 6.8. And at range. Those short, light bullets have the BC of a brick.

Pretty much the only advantage 6.8 has is being easier to find.

I think crush washers have the possibility to deform unevenly which is bad for suppressor mounts, whereas peel washers should be a constant width all the way around.
Might be BSing though.
I was at an indoor range once and it spooked the girl the next lane over well enough to make her drop her target as she was hanging it.

For the stocks, the safest bet is anything magpul. Try them all and see what you like and make sure that you get one set up for a mil spec buffer tube and not commercial (assuming that's what you've got) which it probably is since it's an M&P

Aesthetics is all up to you. The only downside to carbine gas on 16" is it looks uggo, has slightly more felt recoil and wears parts a tad faster. The good part is that it will cycle pretty much anything
