/k/, does anyone have any advice for building an M16A1? I bought a Nodak stripped upper and lower, but now I'm realizing parts army as readily available as I initially thought.

The furniture, can I buy beat up fruniture and sand and paint it? Or do I have to scowler gunbroker daily for it? Some collectors site has very good condition full sets for $400+

Any advice would be appricated

I haven't weighed it in its current config with perks and attachments but it's gotta be less than 7lb. DD Lite Rails are light, bruh. But you're right that I'm overthinking the weight issue.

That was my intention but I think the slightly lower recoil of the mid length pairs well with the aimpoint. If/when I buy an ACOG I'd put it on both at the range and see which one it suits better.

It is a different beast entirely. The safeties are similar in operation and it has a bolt release in the same place as an AR. Outside of that it is an AK in every other way. Rocker lock mags, right sided charging handle and gas-piston system.

As for getting an SBR, do it. They have been my go to for the past 2 years and my poor 16'' just sits in the safe. Because of the whole 41F thing though, I would say get a stripped lower today and form 1 it on the ATF website before the 12th. You dont have to even build it, but that way you can make 1 when the time is right and not have to worry about the new trust BS we have to go through. This is assuming you already have a NFA trust though.

I'm looking for opinions on a low price, light weight, complete upper. Who makes a good one? I am planning to build an M4gery.

I ran into a guy i used to work for and started talking with him. The topic of AR's came up and he mentioned that he had an extra complete lower laying around that he didn't want and i can have it. So i have decided to build another AR.

I already have an AR that i built for long range shooting and it is a safe queen. So this build will be meant for shooting cheap, dirty, steel case ammo.

im thinking about getting him the DD RIS II rifle length over a lo pro gas block as a gift. pricy, yes but he was the closest thing i had to a big brother growing up

any reason not to?

any trustee can posses nfa items registered to trust.

can engrave trust name on weapon instead of individual name.

can pass on items in the event you die

just more flexibility in general.
>>
>>30572234
That's what I thought.
So any future items would still need the prints/ photo, right?

The main benefits for me are trustees being able to posses my stuff and the trust name being engraved as opposed to my name.

Just shooting at the range really. I'm not sure the distance but I would like to hit out far like getting good at the effective range of 300 yards (which I heard 223 and 556 are good for) but from what I understand the difference in barrel length is negligible from 16" to 20". No I don't plan to suppress. I am right handed. Budget around $800-$1000 not sure if 200 will make a big difference idk

Dan suggests midlength gas with a carbine buffer for a 16" rifle.
Carbine gas works fine too, but the recoil will feel sharper, and wear will happen faster. (Wear isn't a concern unless you put a ton of lead downrange, but still)

Hiya lads, the AR generals seem, to be the least shitposty threads on /k/ with minimal derailment so I figured I'd ask you guys - as it is AR related;

1) Can somebody explain to a spastic like me the difference between the C8 and the M4? Other than the C8 being Canadian?

2) I have something of an erection for rectangular suppressors, they frequent on sidearms but are there any in circulation for rifles? I just think it would look so damn good.

3) Does anybody really notice a significant difference in accuracy between a 16 inch barell and a 12.5/14 etc etc at around 200 metres? Or are your barrel length choices based more on aesthetic than performance.

Cheers boyos.

do you own a sightmark

not if i can't buy them.
>>
>>30573671

Get the sightmark, there is absolutely nothing that can go wrong, Trijicon just charges more for their stuff because their target audience is rich COD kids.
Then post a torture test of it on the rifle, preferably lean the rifle against a wall and let it fall on the dot. Trijiconfags guaranteed for suicide watch.

this kind of makes me think. he cheaped out on so much stuff yet still was completely effective in accomplishing the task at hand.

im assuming a ton of people here assume because they have the gucciest accessories theyll be more effective during rahowa, but this dumb nigger shows its tactics

What's wrong with US Palm's AK grip?

I have one for my Arse rifle, and its pretty comfy.
>>
>>30574093
His gun didn't need to be durable though
>>
>>30574093

He roasted some cops who were dumb enough to take a handgun into a rifle fight, then got himself cornered and taken out by an iphone on treads.
Literally any long gun in a rifle caliber would have done.

The Griffin armament one looks a bit similar and is less than half the price, but I don't know how it compares.
Can't really get much worse than the memecomp, though.

Hi, I'm a real estate agent based in California and I have a bridge for sale, it can be yours for only $2000! You can easily sell this bridge for a tune of millions! That's an enormous return of profit! Please hurry to take advantage of this opportunity as I have other buyers interested!

thanks for the advice. maybe i'll look at colt. i just didn't want to buy a piece of shit mossberg or like an M&P sport.
>>
>>30574409

you're not getting your money's worth with a colt either but thats at least a bit better than a bushmaster.

big name prebuilt companies charge you for the name. you should consider buying a completed upper and lower instead, there is no building involved but you'll get more for your money.
