>>
>>30558461

IMO it's an example of misprint fabric that still got turned into a helmet cover.
Stuff rejected by the regular military occasionally gets dumped on the Defense League; the very first digital uniforms (with white interiors and the old Soviet-derived cut) are a great example of this.

>Actually I think the finns took it from the ruskies, not sure tho

Nah, Finns made the pattern by analyzing thousands of images taken from finnish forests. The jagel is exact copy of the M05. Color variance is somewhat apparent, but the pattern is 100% same. Pic related.

There is color variance within the production batches of the official M05.

Also some poor russian versions have more "blobby" parttern, but that is caused by poor printing, and it is not designed.

Yes the left one is jagel. It has usually pretty dark brown.

Picture shows different colours on the real M05. These changes are not designed for, but production variance.
>>
>>30561198
I think I'd get the Russian jagel then if anything. I'm a fan of the darker brown design rather than the lighter tan.
>>
>>30561274
Just beware that atleast the anglija-uniform with jagel pattern tends fade and to loose its colours rather quickly, and in any case, do not wash it in a washing machine, just light handwash if that even.

How to remove any cosmoline from the stock without damaging finish? Sweat it out? Blow dry?

>>30564817
Sweating it out is pretty effective. I set my T53 stock out for an hour and it soaked the towel I had it sitting on. For metal parts, if it isn't effecting performance and it doesn't bother you, there is not harm in leaving it. Otherwise I think just Simple Green and water will do the trick for minor cleaning.
>>
>>30564817
Not sure if it is good to use on the rifle, but I used lantern fuel to clean the cosmoline off of some AK mags.
>>
>>30564929
Ok I'll do it on Wednesday when I'm not working during the day. Should be about 90 degrees
>>
>>30564964
90 degrees will be awesome.
>>
>>30564817
Any solvent will work with the cosmoline on the metal, winded works fantastic. Don't put it on the wood, only the disassembled metal parts.
>>
>>30564954
The point of sweating the cosmoline is to remove the cosmoline. If you use lantern fuel, you will just make your stock full of lantern fuel instead of cosmoline. Also probably much more flammable.
>>
>>30564817

Basically sweating is the way to go, at least for me.

>>30564929

I set my Mosin stock out on 2 different days in trash bags wrapped in old rags on 100+ degree days for about 30 min, did just fine, then wiped down the metal parts.

It's not GOAT for nothing.

The jacket is obviously outdated but the pants are still holding their own in 2016 and are great for outdoor use.
M62 uniform has a comfy baggy cut which allows for unrestricted range of motion for every limb, this is why Finnish paratroopers and divers are still using them even though M91 and M05 have been in use for years.

TAZ 90 Hat

MTP Pants x2

Flecktarn shirt

Almost exactly the same as the others. Seriously, don't waste any more money on another.
>>
>>30586987
I have a feeling someone put in a max bid like "No way someone will take it this high" and someone else did the same thing with a slightly higher number.

I'll be genuinely surprised if it gets paid for or goes any higher.

Not him, but the new stuff is great, very similar to cadpat.
>>
>>30587276
not too green? That's one the problems with cadpat that I've observed. It's only really great during the height of spring and Summer when there's plenty of lush undergrowth

Depends on the situation. It's OK for the summer and early autumn, but mediocre in other seasons.
Some guys swear by the old TTsKO and argue that adopting the pixelated pattern was a pointless waste of time and money (which it sort of was - there's still enough TTsKO stuff stockpiled to outfit an entire military).

Who else looking forward to the new multitarn pattern Germany will be producing? I've never been much of a fan of multicam-spinoff patterns (or multicam, for that matter), but this one seems to be convincing me.
>>
>>30587816
Hopefully there's plate carriers in the pattern. Flecktarn plate carriers are ass expensive to import.

I'm pretty excited for it, but I doubt we'll see any legit issue stuff for sale (even when it is issued!) anytime soon, and even then for any reasonable price.

It looks like it would suite the tall grass and woods around my property nicely.

My area is very similar to pic related.

yeah, that's a really good colour match indeed

I hope the end up surplussing a bunch like with regular flecktarn, because I'd love to get my hands on some. The fleckie pattern is my favourite design, so I'm trying to build up a collection of it with different colours.

I already have a whole bunch of regular flecktarn, but I also recently ordered a set of Chinese type 03 plateau, which is usually really hard to find originals of (they made some cheap knockoffs a while ago that are more prevalent in the market), but the seller I bought from listed then as milsurp, and the've got 4 1/2 star rating on ebay, so hopefully they didn't rip me off. They haven't arrived yet.

Here's the seller I bought my set from http://www.ebay.com/itm/262451669735

He ships from Hong Kong, I believe. The guy lists it as original surplus. I messaged him to confirm, and he sent me pic related, so I'm pretty confident he's legit.

They aren't comfortable or pleasant to wear in any way shape or form.

I just bought a lvl 5 PCU jacket on ebay. Whoever it was issued to wrote their name on the collar with sharpie. Is there any way to remove it or at least fade the fuck out of it without fading the color of the actual jacket?

im sure it was one of you guys selling it anyway

Why did multicam turn into the designated militia camo, replacing M81 woodland?
>>
>>30592531
>replacing M81
>implying it didn't replace UCP

Because the Army needed to get rid of UCP, and multimeme was the coolest kid on the block
>>
>>30592531
because militias also have their tacticool fetishes.

really though, at least in the local milsurp places near me multicam seems more available and in differnt cuts. woodland you have one maybe two cuts thats it.

hello /k/

I'm looking to get one of those Molskin/olive German parkas. Anyone have experience with their sizing?

I'm 188cm and have a chest width of about 100cm~ So I was wondering if I'm A-okay to get one sized for 170-180cm tall/100cm chest (its also the biggest size thats available)?

2 things;
First is I'm also lifting so I expect for my chest to slowly get bigger as time goes on, so will this eventually be be constricting for me? or is their still lotsa room?

2, I got on of the flecktarn ones with the liner a while ago sized 185-195cm/95cm chest, however the liner was a little constricitng for me(parka was really roomy tho) and way too long length wise but arms were good. will the arms on this parka that is for people 10cm shorter be much shorter in the arms section?

heres a link if anyone can help me.

Dude, dont bother with the suspenders. Just get a LBV and attach mag pouches to it. Plus you could put it over a flak jacket, but running it plain is cool too. Or just get LC1 suspenders and ditch the m56 unless you go all out.
