The Kube be praised, I went to the LGS (well, an hour drive to Richmond) to grab a Gadson-marked Anderson lower (the only one they had listed in stock online) for $69 before they ran out.
Got there to find an Aero lower for the same price in the display case. They had some in stock! Bought two. Guy behind me bought five. I shoulda bought 5. Was trying to leave some for everyone...but it sounds like they have a steady supply and for that price I'll definitely head back to pick up more. That wasn't even the sale price.

Also: my 4th of july PA shipment arrived -10 pmags and a Micro red dot. Another shipment with Guy named Lee trigger should be here in a couple days.
And 3k more rounds to bolster the reserves.

It's happening friends. I'm super glad. Still need to hunt down a few parts that are OOS but I have less to worry about with this stuff in hand.

Ammoseek is a godsend when it comes to looking for rounds. Targetsportsusa had Armscor for $.30/rd shipped so check them when they're back in stock if you want plinking stuff. Just picked up some wolf gold as well. Have no 5.56, will wait until I have some more money and consider investing in that as well. The appeal of large volumes of cheaper rounds is a sweet opiate.

o.k., so, let me see if I understand these rules:

1) If you want to own/posses a short/pistol upper, you MUST own at least ONE pistol or stamped lower. If you meet this requirement, then you may legally own/posses as many short/pistol uppers as you like, even if you also own rifles and rifle lowers. You just can't mix them up. Ever.

2) You may own stocks and vertical foregrips as well, but you had better have a full-length rifle or stamped lower to put them on, and never give anyone any probable cause to think you may have put them on the stamped pistol. Ever.

3) Use an angled foregrip, silly, they're legal for everything.

4) You can own certain parts before you pass GO and pay $200, as long as you don't also own any unassembled parts that could be assembled into an illegal configuration. Seems like getting the stamp first would be easier.

Did I get anything wrong? Glad I prefer 16"+; this sounds like too much hassle.

So I got pic related as a gift. I've never owned an AR15 before and don't know a whole lot about them, but I think I wanna install a free float rail, if for no other reason than because I can afford it and they look badass.
I know I would have to remove the delta ring, and that thing in front of the hand guard (not sure what that is if I'm honest), how would I go about doing it? Possible to do without cutting them off?
How do free floating rails go on, anyway? Do they attach in more than one place, and if not is there much risk of them not being perfectly steady so as not to fuck with the sights?
Of course I can google some of this, but since the thread is up anyway could anyone help me out?
