Jesus christ that's REALLY nice, but I don't know what it is. Either way it's in basically mint condition so very valuable. To answer you question no you can NOT use steel ball bearings! It damages the bore, especially if it's rifled. You have to use lead balls, and honestly if you can't get your hands on the equipment to properly shoot it and maintain it, don't shoot it, it's way too nice to be handled without proper care.
