Fuck if you look at the Alton Sterling shooting it's still some grade A bullshit. According to witnesses the guy was selling CD's in the parking lot like he had been doing for years with the shopkeeper'd permission, not causing trouble. The cops got a call that somebody matching his description was waving a gun around, but the shopkeeper denies this. Apparently other informal merchants had been threatened and robbed recently in that area, so that's why Sterling had a gun. The cops responded to the call and immediately tackled the guy, discovered the gun in his pocket, and supposedly shot him when he reached for it.

I have serious doubts that they couldn't have stopped him from getting the gun without killing him, they both had him pinned and subdued after all. Second I find it hard to believe that he would have actually gone for his gun while being filmed with two guns already on him and pinned down, because that's just suicide. So it's entirely possible (and imo likely) that he may have just been moving his arm, not even going for his gun.

At the very least the way the cops approached him should be enough to get them fired, straight up tackling a guy because he matches a description instead of trying to talk to him first is beyond retarded.
