In the neck? I always try for quartering away and placing a shot through the heart, lungs, and shoulder blade. That's gonna really depend on the LGS. If he has any completed lowers he might. Otherwise, get a friend to go buy one for you. That, or just talk to the guy behind the counter and explain the situation. He may be able to sell it as a rifle receiver for you on the paperwork

I tend to get out with the AR at least 3 times a month, usually for 500+ round days.

Use mine for target/fun, varmints/pests and competition when active in the local 3 gun scene.

I shoot my pistols a metric fuck load more though, which makes sense given concealed carry and the fact they are worthwhile to shoot at your average indoor range, unlike the AR.

Alright guys, I'm going to be ordering a PSA rifle kit today, and this is going to be my first AR. I already have a cheap Anderson lower. This rifle is going to be for use as a beater, so after some research I think PSA is just fine for me. My question for you guys is, what AR15 Armorers tool should I get, and what punch set is recommended? Amazon has tons of bad reviews on both of each of those that they stock. Also, is hand-tight on the castle nut good enough? I don't have access to a work bench or vices or anything.

You can get a cheapo vice at HFT that's plenty good enough. Bolt it to a board from home depot. You can sit or stand on the board for the relavely low torque you use on these, they aren't essential but i just like something that holds receivers steady while I'm putting pins and springs in these things with 2 hands.
