About 5 minutes of bombing, followed by someone trying to surrender in Korean, followed by the South Korean translator saying that they said "we will never surrender" followed by an additional three weeks of bombing.

North Korea is just a stray dog at this point. They bark a lot but don't bite.
They always threat everyone verbally and may perform a few nuclear tests but they're never going to attack anyone.
What do you get by invading North Korea?
There's only a few million inhabitants there, and they don't have any natural resources.
What this means is that the best choice for any country is to simply leave them be.
They're not going to attack anyone and you get virtually 0 benefit from attacking North Korea.
I don't know how their economy is but you don't have to be a genius to understand that with such high investment in the military they must have an extremely high defense upkeep, and with a socialist economy they can't have a high income.
On the long term, North Korea will voluntarily ceed to reforms. You won't need an embargo like what happened in Cuba, nor an invasion like Afghanistan.
They'll just realize the world doesn't give a damn about their existence, and get tired of preparing forever for a war that will never start, and so there will be no point in overmilitarization and the such.

More than likely, it will be the North that initiates hostile action. They will make some decent initial gains in the first 24-48 hours as they smash the everlocking fuck out of pre sighted targets. I have a buddy that was stationed on the DMZ for a bit, he told me their battle plan was pretty much "die as slowly as possible to try and buy time for the people not in artillery range to get their shit together." He was told that in a worse case scenario, his life expectancy was approximately 5 minutes.

Now after this one of two things will happen. 1: China bails on NK flat out and US air power decimates the North's logistics and command and control infrastructure before ground troops are able to move in and punch through the disorganized enemy round forces. From there it's Race to Baghdad 2.0. After the major fighting is done, the US will be faced with having to manage a country will millions of starving and desperate people that hate them yet again while also dealing with an insurgent force even more zealous than Al Qaeda.

Option 2 is China rams the entirety of it's armed forces up the North's ass and gets to play the champion of justice card on the international stage. The North gets annexed and turned into a new special economic zone and most o the survivors are forced to keep being slave labor or just end up getting liquidated.

You would expect North Korea to attack first, probably during the day because of the SK and US superiority.

I would expect them, since they often practice chemical warfare drills, to use them in the opening shots, delivered either by shell or by Scuds. They really can't be stopped unless you have really good intel because Scuds, even though their fuel is corrossive. The best shot to defend is something like THAAD or an AEGIS destroyer. The best targets for chemical warfare are probably airfields, especially with persistent agents to try and neutralize the technological advantage.

There would probably be spetsnaz type units which, according to the Soviet-esque doctrine North Korea follows, be inserted in advance of war and then activated to sow chaos, especially in the aftermath of an artillery attack on Seoul.

Would they win?

Probably not.
