>Assembly Bill 1674, 1 firearm purchase in 30 days
>Assembly Bill 1511, banning firearm loans
>Assembly Bill 2607, allows coworkers to petition for your guns to be taken away
>Assembly Bill 1673, bans 80% receivers and any piece of metal
>Assembly Bill 857, retroactive 80% homebuild registration
>Senate Bill 894 and Assembly Bill 1695, requires stolen guns to be reported
>Senate Bill 880 and Assembly Bill 1135, expand the California AWB to include bullet button semi-autos
>Senate Bill 1235, requires permit to purchase ammo and registration
>Senate Bill 1446, confiscation of >10 round magazines

These bills are all on Governor Jerry Brown's desk, and he is going to sign or veto them tomorrow. He has already indicated that he hopes to veto some of them, but is not yet decided.

Call his office and urge him to oppose these bills, or else you will be remembered as a good man who did nothing.

When a government starts waging genocide, what are firearms laws like?

what the fuck do you want people outside of kalifornia to do exactly? I've tried teaching every anti that would listen to me why guns aren't evil babby killing monsters. I've taken several antis to the range and let them claw and fat finger my own property in an attempt to teach them a useful skill that some insulted even at the end.

we can only help so much before the residents there need to nut up and start their own method for change
>>
>>30458108
Maybe we should encourage people to flood into Cali. Idaho and Montana don't have large populations, but Idahoans and Montanans(?) probably wouldn't mind halving their populations, and that wouldn't make any difference on the state policies there. I'm sure we could round up enough from other states while not negatively affecting their political climate.
>>
Dear god these can't have all made it past the the state house and senate?

Anything an out of stater can do to help?

They really are going full authoritarian.
>>
>>30458262
Call Jerry Brown and urge him to vote. You could say that passing these kinds of meaningless laws like the Bullet Button ban will only prevent other states from supporting gun control when the law is proven useless, and that the magazine confiscation validates the slippery slope gun ban argument.

meanwhile some asshole who designed this bullshit is making billions of dollars because the govt forces us to buy this shit event though it dont work
>>
>>30458407
Like I said, we would have to get all states in on it so as not to negatively affect the pro gun politics in pro gun states, but it would be doable.
>>
>Assembly Bill 2607
>This bill would also authorize an employer, a coworker, a mental health worker who has seen the person as a patient in the last 6 months, or an employee of a secondary or postsecondary school that the person has attended in the last 6 months to file a petition for an ex parte, one-year, or renewed gun violence restraining order. This bill would also specify that these provisions shall not be construed to require any of those persons to seek a gun violence restraining order.

not just co-workers, it includes teachers too.
That professor in your english 101 class who didn't like your pro-2nd debate. he can get your guns taken away for a year.

>>

>Assembly Bill 1511, banning firearm loans
>Assembly Bill 1674, 1 firearm purchase in 30 days
These two seem somewhat reasonable from a gun control rethoric. Maybe not every 30 days, but i'd understand a "20 guns per year" law. Understand, not support.

>Senate Bill 1235, requires permit to purchase ammo and registration
>"Yes, hello, i came to get my registration permit. Heres my documentation and-"
<"Well, sir, you'll have to ask a couple of basic questions. A psychotecnical evaluation."

>"Well, yeah"
<"Test failed. Permits denied."

It means you can't give your firearms to anyone else, even temporarily. Oh the country will go all right
>>
>>30457712
Theoretically, it's not. However, it punishes gunowners who might not hand them over during a confiscation. "Lost"/"stolen"/"destroyed" will not be accepted as valid excuses (meaning your property is destroyed as they search for your guns). Further, if it's criminalized (I'm not a califag) then it's another charge they'll throw at you even if the gun was lost or stolen far in the past. And a reason to confiscate all your other guns, ammo, and gear.
>>
>>30459844

Oh, hurp durp.

But again, how do they fucking place to enforce this?

Well, family members can already do this under the progressive legislation they passed a few years ago. Once they set a precedent, they go for the kill. They never stop, any more than the SJW's or the militant faggots or any other tribe on the far left. There is no We're Happy Now place for them.

Which is why all the milquetoast bullshit about oh, I don't like most of it but THAT once sounds reasonable is not only besides the point, it gives aid and comfort to the enemy that's gunning for your ass.

Why is the water in the boat at a higher level than the sea?

That doesn't make any sense unless there's something actively putting water in the boat. At that point the water in the boat would actually be flowing out of the hole until it equalized with the sea, or the boat would simply drop a few inches down to level.

LAPD mop up after a crack dealer shootout. A pistol is recovered at the scene that matches the bullets pulled out of Fat Mike, one of the dead crack dealers. Prints on the gun belong to Rollo, who is not at the scene but just got out of jail a month ago for trying to shoot Fat Mike a while back. According to CA's extensive paperwork, the last person who had their name attached to this gun was Tyrone. Tyrone is not prohibited from owning a gun in CA, but when the cops roll up to Tyrone's place and ask about the gun he says "Rollo stole that gun from me." "When?""Uh, a week ago.""Why didn't you report it stolen?" "Fuck you, i ain't got to tell you shit." The actual answer is "Rollo gave me $1000 for it so he could shoot Fat Mike dead this time, i didn't think stupid fucker would leave it at the scene." All the other replies (i lost my guns "fishing") are correct, too, though.

No they're not. Trading your vote for political favors has a long and honored history in Central America, and it;'s much more profitable to be a political peon in America than Mexico. They know EXACTLY what they're doing.

I think you're forgetting the US military, and any of its already-socialist allies that would likely join the fight.
It would come down to military and police fighting against a mostly disarmed militia. It wouldn't be much of a war. Especially when they can just bomb the locations of any resistance.

Will we see this in our lifetime? Probably not
Will it happen eventually? Most definitely.
>>
>>30462310
It probably does, but it's never been brought to court. No one would want to spend that much cash on legal fees to maybe open a relatively small market.

Even if it did get brought up there's a chance it could stand considering it doesn't prevent sale, the wrong judge on the case could call it as no undue obstruction. Which is bullshit. The breakdown for ordering online is as follows:
>Send a fax or email with the front and back of both driver's license and FOID to retailer.
>Retailer puts it on file for no more than 90 days.
>Order ammo, probably needing to send an extra email clarifying purchase.
>Ammo can only be shipped to the address on the FOID.

But really it's just a way to get their foot in the door for taking guns from people. The non-police state way would be for a coworker, even just one or two to alert police that someone is being sketchy and have them look into it... Which is what people can already do

SACRAMENTO — Denouncing it as a "cynical effort to con the public," Gov. Pete Wilson on Monday vetoed legislation aimed at strengthening California's ban on military-style assault weapons.

Offering an analogy, the governor said: "If this bill's focus were high-speed sports cars, it would first declare them 'chariots of death' and then criminalize possession of Ramblers equipped with racing stripes and wire wheels."

Taking personal aim at Perata, who the governor claimed refused to work out a compromise, Wilson criticized the bill as a "cynical effort to con the public about what kind of legislation actually will protect" Californians against gun violence.

God damn it this is what I hate about this country, it's full of people who have this primitive tribe mindset.

Do you know why Trump is a sign the party is crumbling apart? Well for the exact same reasons why Dems are jumping ship because Hillary's "their candidate." Party policies conflicting with the members and candidates is as old as political parties themselves, it's why we don't have six fucking flavors of the Whigs anymore because that shit fractured and died. Gun-toting Democrats are a growing demographic and they're a sign that people are understanding the first ten amendments in our constitution were not written in a vacuum, the beloved 1st Amendment young Democrats love has the same parents as the 2nd Amendment. As time goes on those same people who like guns but also like the other policies of the party will vote accordingly and if they're in enough numbers the politicians will have a pro-gun stance if they want to stay in office. Texas Democrats who run for office are likely going to lean toward gun ownership, just like Sen. Giffords (D-AZ) has gotten shit for years for her pro-gun stance, I think either Feinstein or some other gun-grabber called her "a traitor."

No, pro-2A Democrats aren't traitors and they never will be. It's truly astonishing that this is a sentiment felt on "both sides" because it demonstrates the incredible stupidity of the average voter, the regressive leftists think they show tow "the party line" and retarded neocons think that blue equals bad no matter what. That's dumb. Stop it. Every single person here should be cheering on all the pro-gun Democrats who are knocking out the anti-gun stance of the party one vote at a time, you might disagree with them elsewhere but having both major political parties full of pro-2A politicians can only be a good thing.

By the way, before you start crying I'm an independent voter from Minnesota. I vote both sides, whoever I think does the job best.

If there's just one or two baseless confiscations they might brush it under the rug as a "necessary evil," but if on the first day of the law being in effect they got petitions to confiscate guns from, like, half the gun owners in the state, maybe they'd be forced to realize the retardation they'd unleashed.

"They were always going on about how terrible they think the laws are! And with all those guns I was afraid they'd go on a shooting spree. It's best if the government prohibits them from having those assault ghost machine guns for the transgendered, ethnically diverse, minimally aged person's safety! Of course that means they can't sell them either, which I feeeeeeeeel is best for the community!"

Bills the governor signed will:

— Require those who make guns at home to register them with the state and get a serial number so the weapons can be tracked

— Require an ID and background check to purchase ammunition and create a new state database of ammunition owners

— Ban possession of ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 bullets.

— Restrict the loaning of guns without background checks to close family members.

Bills the governor vetoed would have:

— Clarified that theft of a firearm is grand theft and is punishable as a felony

— Required stolen or lost guns to be reported within five days.

— Limited Californians to the purchase of one rifle or shotgun per month

A more complete list.

Signed
SB 1235 (De León): SB 1235 requires background checks for ammunition purchasers, licenses to sell ammunition, and collection of sale information. Restrictions on ammunition purchases, creates a DOJ database of ammunition owners.
SB 880 (Hall, Glazer) & AB 1135 (Levine, Ting): SB 880 & AB 1135 would redefine assault weapons to encompass specified guns capable of accepting any type of detachable magazine. Bans common and constitutionally protected firearms that have magazine locking devices.
SB 1446 (Hancock): SB 1446 prohibits the possession of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. Confiscation of lawfully acquired, standard capacity magazines that can hold over 10 rounds.
AB 1695 (Bonta): AB 1695 would make it a misdemeanor to report to a local law enforcement agency that a firearm has been lost or stolen, knowing the report to be false and create a 10 year firearm prohibition for someone convicted of this offense.
>>
>>30467137

Vetoed
AB 1674 (Santiago): AB 1674 would add to the current restrictions that are placed on an individual in regards to how many firearms they can purchase in a 30 day period. Current law states that only one handgun can be purchased in this time period but if this legislation is passed, long guns would fall under this restriction as well.
AB 1673 (Gipson): AB 1673 would take the definition of a firearm and extend to it include any unfinished frames or receivers that can be converted into a weapon. This bill could make any object that is associated with a firearm subject to the same regulations that apply to firearms.
AB 2607 (Ting): AB 2607 would allow an employer, coworker or mental health worker to file a restraining order on an individual to keep them from owning a gun. This individual would not be allowed to defend themselves until 21 days later. In this time, they would have their right to bear arms stripped from them, regardless if the claims were true or not.
SB 894 (Jackson): SB 894 requires the reporting of a lost or stolen gun within 5 days of when a person knows or reasonably should have known of the theft or loss. Victimizes victims by criminalizing the failure to report lost and stolen firearms.
