I owned a High Standard Tantal a few years ago and it was great but I sold it during the last panic. I recently bought one of the "bakelite" AKs. The plastic furniture was a god awful imitation so I threw it away and put on some surplus furniture....it's awesome. The parkerized finish is much nicer some of the glorified paint finishes on other AKs. I would highly recommend the high standard.

Bought a Zastava M70AB2. Old owner I guess never cleaned it, cause the fucker was still full of cosmoline. Gave it a breakfluid bath to get rid of it all.

Here's the fuck up, the goddamn spring that keeps the trigger assembly and hammer pins in fell out. I don't know how to put it back in. Yes, I fucked up by not taking pictures when I took the safety off, but it looked pretty solid and I highly underestimated it's ability to fall out.

And, to top it all off, all the guides and youtube vids I've found are all of different springs, or "lul those suck I got krebs plate," which doesn't help me any.

Got a wasr today, not a 10/63 but it only has a canted sight by a degree or two and the gas block is canted slightly to the right, you can barely notice it(cycles just fine).
No mag wobble, magwell doesn't look dremeled out and looks to be cut using a guide.

Yeah, needing money for necessities and having priorities sucks.

I haven't started refinishing the wood yet as I've been too busy with work. I would do it this weekend but the chance of me getting into a hardware store and picking up any of the essentials to finish wood is about 0%. Maybe I'll just order everything I need on Amazon and hope it roles in on Tuesday, not that I'll be able to do anything then either because work's going to be a nightmare.

We're trying to make it better for those on the right side of the law.
Unfortunately, the powers that be seem to think they can legislate crime away, and that just never going to work.
It seems like every step we take forward to the proper firearms rights we are guaranteed, states like California and NewYork take us 3 steps back.

It's a never ending struggle, but we try to be vigilant against those that would disarm us or turn law abiding citizens into criminals through ineffective laws.
