What would be even more terrifying would be a condensed microwave projector, pretty much a DIY maser. Strap together a few magnetrons and condense the energy waves together for some cancer inducing fun.

It would most likely cook the user too, starting with the eyes, if he doesn't wear protection since microwaves like to bounce around.

This guy studies some sort of biological science at my school. Cool guy 10/10 would DIY operate with.
