That's never happened to me because when I walk into a gun store I'm prepared to buy that day if not I'll ask my local gun store to hold something so I can come back to pay it the next day. But I did have them hold a savage lee enfield and they accidentally sold it out from under me. They did pay back the $150 I put down to hold it.

If you want to be really, really safe on gunbroker, just bid from people who have really high feedback with no negative reviews.

You probably will have to pay more but it's safer.

You basically ask your local FFL to send a copy of their license to your seller with payment and they send your gun to the FFL.

I have no experience with a deal going wrong on gunbroker but I'm fairly certain if anything goes wrong it's going to be hard to get your money back.
