What OP meant to post is an MG-34.
After 5 minutes of googling, pictured is what is called a Spandau MG 08

>Spandau
Also MG42 and MG32 were called that:
The gun was sometimes called "Spandau" by British troops,[9] as was the MG 34, a traditional generic term for all German machine guns, left over from the famous Allied nickname for the MG 08 Maxim-derivative used by German forces during WWI, which was derived from its manufacturer's plates noting the city where some were produced

It's like how sometimes the MP40 is called a Schmeiser. It's the same deal even, they're being colloquially referred to by the factory who made them.
>>30371695
schmeisser didn't make mp40s
>>30370727
actually that is an XMG, which is an MG34 upper reciever for an AR15 lower
the "spandau" you mention never existed it was a british slang for any and all german MGs no one else ever called them that especially not the germans
>>30371818
That's where the colloquialism falls into play.
>>30371893
>*actions* XDDD

they forgot that MG 34 had a double drum magazine available, alternating between belts and magazines in the middle of battle wasn't practical, but nevertheless there was the option of using magazines, in fact that's how it was intended to be used when fired from the bipod (the belt was supposed to be used when the gun was mounted on the tripod), the troops however decided that using belts with the bipod was more practical.

Shut up you fucking fag, cry about it somewhere else
