anyone ever trade-in a used rock island?

~500rds through mine and the gun is 100% intact and could pass for "i put 20 rounds thru it once then never touched it after"

paid $585 for it and i'm hoping to get most of that back so I can immediately buy a better pistol.

don't get me wrong, love 1911s and the pistol is fine. but 3-4 FTFeed / slide stop related malfunctions every range trip and the "breakin period" which doesnt seem to be going away any time soon has really lowered my expectations of it as my always nearby HD pistol

My RIA did this with act mags but when I got Kimber mags I never had a problem ever again.

Fuck you that's what you get for buying a cheap 1911. You wouldn't be able to do a straight trade for a fucking glock. Dumbass. Just keep it, learn, make it a project, learn to tune 1911's, polish it. Treat it like car you're not afraid to work on. Replace springs and shit. Learn why its a piece of cheap shit and use that knowledge to buy a good 1911.

Does anyone else here prefer straight vertical slide serrations like on old/base model Colts? I really never did like angled slide serrations, especially if they're only on the rear of the slide.
