I've carried mine before. While it's not as obberatur as a wondernine it'll damn sure put someone down with a center mass shot or seven.

It's the best "fun" gun for the price, sure it's probably not the most practical but fuck if it isn't cool as shit and fun as shoot for how cheap it is. (the gun itself, even though the ammo is fairly cheap too)

You can get a titanium plated tiger stripe one (like pictured) or chrome/straight 24k gold for only $500 or so more than a regular one which is a fucking deal I'd say, especially when most people think it's worth way more just by the flashy looks of it.

Truf. The gas tapping mechanism and the fact the gun weighs about 4.5lbs unloaded means you'll have very little felt recoil. Hell the shockwave from the blast is more of an effect than the actual recoil.

For me, the most annoying thing about it is how you ahve to hold it. Because the entire bolt assembly and slide is moving back, you constantly have to be mindful of where you place your main hand thumb. If you hold it too high, the slide can catch it very painfully. I've torn off a chunk of my thumbnail learning that the hard way.

Otherwise it's just a fun gun to shoot. Makes a loud ass boom and is a great conversation starter at the range. Plus if I ever get around to hunting would be nice to have as a backup piece.

I legitimately see nothing wrong with carrying a Desert Eagle in .50 African Eliminator. It can reach muzzle energy equivalent to that of an intermediary rifle cartridge, and it's becoming popular to say that handgun rounds are "bad" at killing people now, right?

Yup. I don't doubt for a second I would have terrible accuracy in a panic draw, but having 8 rounds of hot .44 mag rounds handy at least is a nice last resort backup for a large pissed off hog or bear.

Dunno. I only fired one in the range and I don't really enjoy firing one (I'm more of a fast action type). Dunno, maybe a hunter would appreciate it but I'm not a hunter, and the only thing I regularly shoot is dumpster rats and maybe a bear or 2

It is a secret dream of mine to get a tiger striped deagle, put on an overly elaborate costume with a chest full of fake medals and go shooting while cosplaying as a African/Middle Eastern dictator.

Also op maybe one would be decent to carry if you were more worried about moose than being robbed, though there are revolvers that have that role covered quite well.
Definitely along the lines of a mk23, Python, or Mateba in the class of "handguns I wouldn't mind owning but don't have enough money to justify spending the money on when there are better things and ammo to buy first".

While I'm saying this as someone that usually prefers to pack as much magazine capacity with 9mm in as possible instead, I see nothing wrong with carrying a Desert Eagle, IF you're swole enough, a good enough shot, and a good enough draw to make up for its size, recoil, and lack of capacity.

.50 African Eliminator can have similar muzzle energy to 7.62x39mm while using a heavier bullet. While I'd prefer to magdump at someone's chest with several more weaker and lighter loads, I can see the value of pumping a lot of force into a smaller amount of heavier bullets. I certainly like it more than doing a compromise like .40S&W or .375SIG. If you're going to do it, make it powerful enough to really justify it.
