Pretty much the most ergonomic 9/40 on the market right now. The gun is designed solely for double taps and triple taps of less than 2". I wonder when CZ will import these.

I love my 92fs. Although if I had to go back and do it again I'd get a inox model. I'm afraid to use holsters and even carry or put my 92fs in the glovebox. The finish that comes on the 92fs' is very fragile impo compared to say, a Sig Sauer.

They are nice, damn accurate, but I can't get over the "bending a spoon' feeling of DA mode. Oh, and the safety will plow your fingernails if you dont grip the shit outta the slide, and sometimes actuate itself on your palm.
>>
>>30332536
>I can't get over the "bending a spoon' feeling of DA mode

Fortunately that only lasts for the first shot.

Or fuck, pull the hammer down.

There's no way for me to not sound like a dick here, but do you want a fucking museum piece or a tool?
>>
>>30332512
Take from me, as someone who owned an inox model, it's not all its cracked up to be. The finish is rougher on the slide, and the frame is still aluminum, just with this strange putty grey finish on it that doesn't last long at all. The small parts are still plastic as well. It's a far cry from the full stainless steel it's portrayed as

I qualified with the M9 in the military so I got very used to a double action trigger. It just so happens the three firearms I om are single double action for that reason. However I only have her carry use or keep loaded my Sigs. There're a lot more durable finish wise and I do not have safeties just single double action with decocker what I believe was a lot more practical for a defensive gun. my Beretta sets in its case mostly it Will end up being a simple heirloom piece. Still a pleasure issue and an even bigger pleasure to look at.

>>30332569
I feel the same way about Single double action weapons. And in my opinion if you're afraid for your life your marksmanship is going to depreciate pretty bad and that double action shot is only making it safer during the draw and that first shot

Those are beat to shit, put away, and then beat to shit again. Our 92's can look worn and still be perfectly serviceable as long as we actually care for the guts.
>>
>>30332152
It was the 92F that had problem with the slides and from what I read it was the US made guns.

That is why the 92FS was made. But the improvement still won't stop the slide from cracking. It is all about the metallurgy and the type of ammo used

>>30332612
Thats sad to hear. Like I said I feel like berettas have the most fragile finish in all the gun world its kind of annoying. You holster it in a military style serpa holster once or twice and you can already see the finish getting fucked up.

>>30332582
Bear in mind I use my sigs for actual use/carry. I give no fucks when it comes to them. But for my Beretta I do baby it.

>>30332644
Fucking sexy piece. Great engineering and hardware throughout. I wasn't fond of the ergos of the reversed slide fitment design but the reasoning behind it makes perfect sense. Just gives you less slide to grab when you rack it but seeing as how I'm not an operator who needs to do speed reloads and such it doesn't matter to me.

>>30332669
All the m9s I ever handled did fire and operate perfectly but the firearm legitimately looked like they put it in a washing machine with gravel.

kek, I want a HK one day but I want to get more mags and a light for my p229 first.

Not sure though, i want P30L because I like S/DA no safety pistols, I don't like the style safety on the USP but I would like a USP because its a fucking legend. And seeing as how I carry sigs the HK would be a range gun not a carry gun so ergos isn't that important.

Not that guy, but Galling happens when two metals contact each other and have improper heat treats. Either one is too soft or too hard, and it malforms the other. Galling looks like when you get a piece of clay, cut it into a perfect cube with corners, and then smush the corners with your hand or a flat surface.

That being said, my vote goes to this for looks, and G17/19 for usability.

Variant 3 is DA/SA with decocker only.
Variants 7 and 8 are LEM triggers with no control lever at all.
You can buy any variant USP and convert it to any other variant. Its where the U in USP comes from.

Its not an official mod, but you can get the variant 7 pin and plate, and keep the bobbed hammer so you can manually decock so there is no safety, or decock lever. I think there is one other part that has to be changed too, but cant remember.

Berretas are pretty resilient. They only really develop surface rust if they're exposed to water and left wet for a long period of time.

Doing small arms maintenence in the navy we had really, really old M9s many of which were heavily worn and got issued all the time and often spent 24-48 hours outdoors with watchstanders.

Even if we got them back with rust on they still functioned correctly 99% of the time after a cleaning.

Now mossbergs and their fucking magazine spring on the other hand.

Basically cz is fucking around and not heat treating their shit properly and without the proper lubricant like RIG grease, the parts will weld themselves together. Early AMT stainless guns had this issue as well

"Galling, or cold welding as it is sometimes referred to, is a form of severe adhesive wear. Adhesive wear occurs between two metal surfaces that are in relative motion and under sufficient load to permit the transfer of material. This is a solid-phase welding process. The load must be sufficient, during relative motion, to disrupt the protective oxide layer covering surface asperities of the metal and permit metal to metal contact. Under high stress and poor lubrication conditions, stronger bonds may form over a larger surface area. Large fragments or surface protrusions may be formed and the result is galling of the surfaces. Severe galling can result in the seizure of metal components.

Materials which are highly ductile or which possess low work-hardening rates tend to be prone to galling. Austenitic stainless steels show a tendency to gall under certain conditions."

CZ 75B hands down.

I shoot 8 inch groups at 25 yards free hand fast firing, can get most shots on paper at 50 yards, and can occasionally hit a 12'' gong at 200 yards with a spotter.

Not to mention it's never malfunctioned through 1000's of rounds and I generally go 6 months to a year without cleaning it.

Of course you could be an idiot and oil the rails, so I don't know how it would perform sitting that long. I use Ultra Synthetic grease on the rails and CLP everywhere else.

92fs bruh. only person I met who has shot a 92fs and didn't like it is a glock fag. Lots of people, cops and service members love it. The ergos are great and its a old af design. >>30337350
Don't instigate a troll. CZ has a cult like following and fora good reason. They make fine firearms and have some creativity and engineering variation between different models unlike Glock. However Beretta is still the oldest firearm manufacturer to date. The 92fs is a beautiful firearm and a pleasure to shoot, very few people would argue otherwise and the one person that did argue otherwise was a glock fag who had shot less then 500 rounds in his entire life.
>>
>>30337538
>CZ has a cult like following and fora good reason

You mean gunsmith cats and >muh czechnology?

The only reason why people like CZ's is because it's one of the few DA/SA pistols that can be shot in single action since the majority of you babby fags can't into a DA pull. Go fuck yourself and your rabid shilling. jfc

If you want a full sized 9mm, get whatever you like. But don't pigeonhole yourself into only looking at the 92 seriously because that's the only one you've shot. Go to the range one day, rent a glock, cz 75, 92fs, and anything else you want to buy. Shoot some ammo through each, and set aside 50 or so rounds for the very end of the day. Anon, I am thinking of getting one, hows the safety? Are you able to switch it to fire easily and comfortably while still having a good high firm grip? Is it stiff like old 1911s or pretty nice and snappy like the slide safety on a 92FS.

I see the O-ring in his post, but from his line about the "only unique thing" I conclude that he is referring to said ring. I believe him to be someone who read a Wikipedia article about the USPc and got parts confused.

Maybe not, he just doesn't post much. Usually busy building ridiculous shit like the slut hammer, the ripsaw mac-10 with a chain for a charging handle, and an am pistol with a cage of sorts for a handguard. I've also gotten nudes a few times. I don't feel the need to post them on /k/. But shit if that's what /k/ wants then I'll post nudes.

And yeah, I guess it's not bad for /k/ or anything. But it's not like that faggot on /po/ posts pictures of his paper cranes on a girls ass or anything.

Different anon here I think youre reading something else into it than it is. It doesn't strike me as attention whoring. Like he said he just likes asses next to guns. That's like saying he likes milk with a pbj. If he has it on tap let the man floss it and either enjoy the fact that he's posting firearms or enjoy the ass going along with it. He seems like a nice enough guy. No reason to take such a spergish stance on it.
Not talking shit but I mean I just really don't see anything wrong with some skanks with guns.

I can almost guarantee you that the roll pins are broken inside. You should take it to a smith and replace the two roll pins. If you buy a roll pin starting punch and roll pin punches you can do it your self.

Those stamp slide p226 will need the roll pins replaced every 5000 rounds or so. I know this because the exact same thing happened to me.

see that little bump of plastic? that prevents the trigger from moving all the way back when the trigger safety isnt engaged as it hits the top of the frame. when you push on the trigger safety it pivots upwards and out of the way allowing the trigger to move further back. so you could just shave off that bit of plastic and disable the trigger safety, hell, prolly pin it down if you want to.

It's stainless, use Mothers or Flitz polish. If it is really deep use a green scotch-brite pad.

If you think I'm memeing you google some results the experts on smithandwesson forum got from doing the same thing I suggested. It really does smooth it out.

It's a 3rd gen smith, they don't wear out if you replace your recoil springs. Yours already has some wear and a replacement extractor installed so I would just keep shooting it.
