Hi,
Other topic's guys send me here and I didn't see a thread on this so I launch a new one here.
Recently a friend of mine give me a sword, a katana more precisely, but I don't know anything about it so if someone can give me some informations it will be great.

Looks excessively fancy. Check the guard and pommel to see if it's bronze or paint-on gold. See if you can scratch some of it off. Bronze is generally a mark of a better blade.
I'll need to see the blade to tell you more.

Try scratching the temper curves with something to see if it chips...? Basically see if its painted on or something.

The blade is at best, acid etched and at worst just fucking painted to imitate reality.
