At an IDPA competition all competitors MUST conceal carry whatever they are using in said competition, the firearm must not be seen until his/her turn is up. It is a competitions that favors lightweight, small framed handguns that don't snag on clothing.

While the CZ75/85 and variants are large framed, heavy-duty service pistols.

IMO you are trying to make too far-reaching conclusions on the matter. Grand majority of the pistols that CZ manufactures for competition use are full-size versions - hence they get used in IPSC and 3 gun, but are not that often in IDPA. They do have also compact and sub-compact pistols in their line of product, but because they are 9-mm they are not ideal for IPDA either. In addition IPSC is far more popular in Europe than IDPA.
