Dave keeps trying to get me to go but I either end up being busy or am just not up to the trip. He has (jokingly)told me I should bring a cannon with me if I go to one, but that's not happening. Too valuable, too much of a pain to move, too expensive to shoot, and way too dangerous for anybody that has never been around artillery before. There are other interesting things I could bring though: trapdoor Springfield, Martini-Henry, Krag, ect.

Since it looks like the thread is going to 404 soon let me take the time to be a faggot and say I had an amazing time. It's hard to believe it's already been a week since and I'm counting down the days 'till August and October. There's a really nice mix with Nuggetfest that I was kind of hoping for, but not really expecting. The free conversations about the 2A (where you don't need to drag the rest of the debate by the edge of your teeth to the basic "we need the second amendment" point), historical re-enactments, making Eagle Scout S'mores around the campfire, shooting a dozen different calibers in a single afternoon, getting drunk off four cups of more-foam-than-beer, belting ballads at skinwalker-ho decibels, and even the occasional 'normie get out reeee'.

It was a /k/ meetup yeah, but also a 4chan one. I feel like it was definitely jarring/overwhelming for the more normal (especially that poor father, my condolences to him) but it was the most fun I've had with a group of strangers in years.
