Alright, /k/. In case you haven't noticed, especially here lately, 2A rights are under attack (namely here in the west).
Skip 10 years in the future and the ATF is coming for all firearms on record, full out ban.

How do you go about a revolution? Where do you procure weapons, with whom do you strike deals with, and how do you recruit?

Also, discuss why the CSA failed during the civil war.

Hello Mr. ATF

They shot first.

They failed because they were fighting the New English.
>>
>>30224048
Even if they take all the guns Russia will supply us. They already plan of supplying Europe during its revolution.

My goal is to create a safe zone and eventually declare sovereignty there. There's no way a broken US federal power can maintain something the size of the US. A new civil war would be a clusterfuck, so many factions and so many foreign powers getting involved. We just have to tough it out and do what's in our best interest.

Confederates a shit
>>
>>30224149
So what you're saying is basically move to Texas or some other Southern state fed up with gov't. bullshit, start a militia, declare sovereignty/secede, and be armed by Russia. Sounds good maaayne.
>>

Not him but the CSA literally fired the first violent shots of the war. We (the south) fired upon an unarmed supply vessel and injured a civilian in the process. We then shelled Fort Sumter.
>>
>>30224259
Whoa, what's this about the supply vessel? I'm a huge history buff but I was never taught about that. I was told the first event of the Civil War was Fort Sumter.

Also what I meant by elaborate is explain why they lost because of that. I know the South fired the first shots.

>yankees misunderstanding the war this much

I'm not one of those assholes that believes the war was wholly over states rights or that the South had any chance of winning after '63, but you have a severe misunderstanding of the war if you think the North was a morally pure entity that did no wrong or wasn't rampant with racism. Like it's taught today in most middle and high school classes.

Should it have come to war, hell no. But the build up of the Army of the Potomac didn't help the mood.

It was even a controversial issue in the south to secede, the view that all southerners were for secession is somewhat false. Many men identified with their state and were willing to lay down their life for it. Look at Jackson's army for an example of such spirit.

>>30224285
Citadel cadets did fire the first "official" shots of the war.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston,_South_Carolina_in_the_American_Civil_War
>>
>>30224285
The the south had Sumter besieged, there was actually quite a bit of negotiating going on with both sides, but eventually sumter itself was running low on provisions and they weren't about to abandon their post.

We were sent multiple correspondence about the North sending a vessel to resupply the fort and those manning it, we were warned repeatedly by the North themselves that it was coming before it did, we never acknowledged it to my knowledge.

On the day the ship arrived, it arrived with armed escort, but that escort stayed outside of the harbor as a show of good faith and the unarmed supply vessel approached alone. We fired upon it injuring at least one civilian on board in the process before we fired on sumter itself.

I wouldn't necessarily say this is the exact reason why the south lost, I'd chalk that up more to the failure at Gettysburg but the moment we shot first we forever became "the bad guys" in history's eyes. The slave issue wasn't enough, we had to go and launch the first attack too.

>discuss why the CSA failed during the civil war

Aside from the meme answers of no supplies and lack of men, poor leadership, and the very notion of a Confederacy made fighting a war difficult. States rights was so important to these people that the Governor of Georgia refused to give winter uniforms to troops from other states so he had tens of thousands of wool uniforms sitting in a warehouse in Atlanta while Lee's Army froze at Fredricksburg
>>
>>30224426
Well, the south had the "fighting spirit" that would lead them to victory.

After First Manassas it did look like the South had a shot at victory. The Union army was disoriented, along with the rest of the country. People actually went to go watch the battle, expecting a decisive Union victory only to see the South win.

In fairness, the Union also had poor leadership who didn't know how to realize the might of Union industry and manpower till the end. McClellan was overly caution during his Peninsula campaign.
>>
>>30224480
fuck wrong pic

>>30224485
McClellan was overly cautious all the time. If Joe Hooker had been in command at the Peninsular Campaign Lee and Johnston would have been BTFO. Fuck McClellan had Lee's order of battle before Sharpsburg and still failed to take advantage of it

Ayy lmao. You wouldn't need to "strike deals". It would be an all out civil war.

Actually, because of globalism it would almost 100% evolve into WWIII. Everyone would be screwed.
>>
>>30224535
>ravens

Are you an MDfag?

Hooker was an interesting character, but keep in mind he lost his fighting spirit when Lee beat him at Chancellorsville.

Interesting fact, McClellan was classmates with Jackson, and many other Southern Generals, I think he roomed with A.P. Hill during his cadetship. That may have accounted for his half assed attempt of an assault on Richmond.

No one ever said sticking to ideals was easy. The Constitution is a harsh lover and being in bed with its ideals can be a bit...prickly...at times.
>>
>>30224689
Yeah I'm a Marylandfag

Also about Hooker at Chancellorsville, he was leaning on a pillar on the porch of the Chancellor House when a shell hit it sending him crashing to the ground. He most likely got a concussion which may account for the fact that loss of fighting spirit during the battle
>>
>>30224689
Don't think Jackson was even involved in the Pennisular campaign

>>30224741
What county? I am a Marylandfag as well.

I didn't know that about Hooker. Neat

>>30224816
He was apart of the Seven Day's, but I thought of him as a classmate of McClellan. I know he Jackson was kinda the whipping boy of the class.

>How do you go about a revolution?

you lose because of US CONUS air superiority. Your best bet would be to organize a coordinated run of sabotage missions to air bases with air craft within striking range of your AO (protip: this would mean attacking every airbase in the continental US) and destroying/disabling their aircraft.

This would be problematic for multiple reasons, though. Namely:

>irregulars in the US would be too incompetent to actually pull off such a coordinated stunt
>it would leave the US vulnerable to foreign invasion

so, basically, this takes you back to square one: you lose.

violent revolution isn't possible in the US, barring a total military coup, which seems unlikely.

>Where do you procure weapons

guard armories. they're everywhere and manned by idiots. anyone with land and a small business's worth of capital could easily manufacture small arms and explosives too...look into manuals on COIN ops and read about concepts like the counter-state/underground state, etc, and study how the sandniggers armed themselves during the iraq war.
>whom do you strike deals with

no one would be capable of lending relevant aid -- if the US could be toppled by an enemy force, then that enemy would have done so. Air and naval power would keep relevant foreign "aid" (read: subjugation) away.

>how do you recruit?

If the population is ready for war, then simply knowing how local institutions function and how to pitch game would work.
Focus on the young -- youth bulges are what cause both crime and war for a reason.

>2A rights

politics won't cause a war. you need a population that perceives life as being so bad that something as terrible as war doesn't seem that bad to them...basically a population of young suicidals who are starving and don't care much for family or future prospects.

You don't have that and you don't have war, be damned what political rallying cry you want to trumpet.
