Is the Gerber Paraframe a good, general-purpose knife?

from my personal experience, the little one that came with the small bear grills survival kit is built like a fucking tank. Abused the fucking shit out of it and used it as a screw driver, pry bar ext...damn thing just would not break or chip the edge.

Kinda miss that knife.
>>
You do realise everything easy to find will be shit, right?

Have had one since 2007. Other than the serrations getting a little fucked on a rock, its held up perfectly through years of camping, kitchen work, and general purpose abuse.

Now that was one from 2007. The ones made currently could be completely different and total shit.

Affordable go-to knife. Better options available and the cutout gimmic just invites lint in

When gerber teamed with bear grylls was the final symptom that they turned to shit. Save extra cash and get a spyderco or a benchmade
>>
I've used several over the years, they're a decent beater knife but if they last long enough the little screws that hold the frame together will strip and fall out.

This is the only complaint about them. BUt then again, this is true of 99% of knives in that price range though so it shouldn't be thought of as a deal killer. That said, I have had several of them and of them only one had a screw strip out but it didn't render the knife inoperable.

No u faget
But really what do you see most of in stores?

Kershits
Gerber
CRKT
SOG
Schrade
Buck
Benchmades here and there

There are much better blades for the price and much better locking mechanisms
Also fixed blade is best option for jews

Yes.

Now git out.

I use the Buck Iceman Mini and it's served me well for almost a year now

Fuck this guy OP, the mini Gerbers are solid as fuck. You don't need to spend $400 on a fucking utility knife so you can be "unique". Buy what you like and use the fuck out of it.
>>
That thing is a shit show. Spend an extra few bucks and get a Spyderco Tenacious.
>>
>>30211358

I have one in my pocket right now.
Decent knife, held up to my abuse.
I lost my original one 2 weeks ago, I had it for a year or so.
Brother-in-law had one gathering dust he gave me which is my current edc until my Kershaw Cryo arrives.

They're not terrible for chinkshit, but there's better stuff to buy if you're willing to shell out another 25 bucks.

Same thing goes for anything Buck that's not a 110.
