I actually would. With carrying a surplus gun like the 1895, getting if taken after using it on someone to protect yourself wouldn't be much of loss. You can easily go get one for a couple hundred bucks.

I see them on gunbroker and armslist. yet they are never close enough for me to visually inspect before purchase.

I don't buy old firearms online uness from a reputable seller. All the big names in online gunsales have been out of Hand Nuggets for a while.

If i treat is as a single action, i'd rather go and buy a dedicated single action revolver that's not only better, but shoots more common ammo that's easily reloadable.


as a carry piece, hand nuggets are only a good option if you literally cannot save the the money to get a better gun.

If I had to, itd be better than nothing. The only time I ever needed my CC I didn't have to fire a shot, so it'd work fine in that instance. And I could, if need be, fire it quickly enough. But it wouldn't be my first choice.
