Post yer Milsurp. I'm bored.
>>30163305
Where did you get the M18? I assume it's been cut open?
>>30163349
I really need a Berthier rifle.
>and the other carbines
>>30163411
I need a Berthier carbine.
I just picked up a K31 though.
>>30163459
Technically, it's a Mousqueton. Carbines went to the cavalry and didn't have bayonet lugs and all that....except for the Gendarmerie carbine that did which is pretty much what the Artillery Mousqueton was based on.
At least these aren't as confusing as the all the Italian or Dutch carbines.
>>30163341
Bought it from a guy who had one.
Uncut and still with original ring and blocks so probably fired less than 500 times.
Just got a replacement firing cable, firing pin, and safety spring to make it useable.
>>30163513
You aren't that Canuck with the PTRD and a Boys?
>>30163537
Yep.
>>30163270
how hard is it to find ammo for that thing
>>30163557
Figures.
I you fired your PTRD or Boys yet?
>>30163561
I know of a couple sources, I think. Some ammo I've read is just bad and too lightly loaded.
I honestly haven't fired this gun. The mag doesn't even exactly fit right since it's a mismatched later Nagoya mag and it rubs about the grip screw if I don't leave it unscrewed slightly. So it may not even work reliably because of the mismatched magazine.
>>30163505
Recent acquisition.
>>30163607
K-31s are sweet. I've been saving up some ammo for a special occasion for a few years.
>>30163593
Boys will only handle underloaded rounds until I get around to replacing the barrel. PTRD has been fired several times. New co-worker had one as well with about 100 rounds of ammo, gonna have to grab his empty shells.
My shop is a 5 hour drive away so it gets hard to do any work or make components.
>>30163593
is the baby's nambu the one that if you grip it wrong it goes off?
>>30163624
What's wrong with the barrel?
Usually I wouldn't suggest this, but you can rebarrel them to .50BMG and are much easier to shoot. I've shot one of those and it was sweet.
>>30163646
No. You're thinking of the Type 14. It has an exposed sear. It's also overstated. You have to purposely and forcefully push on the sear to set it off.
>>30163691
huh i knew it was a Japanese pistol but that's it , I don't know much about surplus I just come here to look at the guns
>>30163691
Had been deactivated by welding a ring in the chamber. This has been cut out but is still rough and i'm uncertain of the temper now. The welding also resulted in the barrel being stuck. Have been unable to get it off with a 4' snipe and wrench combo. Either need a better system to hold it while we use a hydraulic wrench on the barrel or will get a machinist to cut it out.
I've been thinking about downsizing the collection but not sure if I want to yet.
>>30164287
I'll never understand what drives someone to obtain massive Mosin collections. Different strokes I guess.
>>30164306
There are so many mosins it's fun to collect them all. But now that I have an actual dragoon I've been thinking about selling my ex-dragoon.
>>30164324
I own the same shitty cabelas 91/30 as everyone else on /k/ does but I really don't care for it. The only other Mosin i'd think about ever buying is an M39 since it seems like an improvement in every way imaginable but even then I don't think it's really enough.
>>30164360
the finn m91s are really good, too. 2nd from the top is one. Mine has a PERFECT bore.
>>30164360
I just got pic related. By far the best trigger I've ever felt, and I haven't even cleaned the fucking thing. Better than the K31, better than any 1911. It's up there with single action on a nice S&W or Colt revolver.
>>30163617
>>30163607
Good shit. Here's mine.
>>30165055
And my SKS. All two of my milsurp rifles.
My 1910/21 Bergmann Bayard.
This is my first weapon, could anyone help me figure out what type it is? They sold it as a Swedish Mauser, but I have my doubts bought it for $400 and it's clean and in really well kept condition. It shoots 8mm.
>>30165443
Swedish Mausers shoot 6.5 swede. Looks like it's been sporterized. Any markings on the barrel or receiver?
Didn't some guy jizz on his enfield a few days ago ?
>all these berthiers
>>30165477
That's a nice one. I forgot, is it matching?
>>30165827
Nope, it's mixed. Probably went through ww1.
Alright. Here is one of my m44s. There's something special about it.
>>30170481
>>30170495
Wartime stock. Has been conterbored.
>>30170509
Numbers match, not original matching, of course. This rifle was refurbished twice.
>>30170523
And here's the money shot.
>>30165443
>Sporterized Swedish Mauser
>re barreled to shoot 8mm Mauser
>$400
Damn dude you got ripped off
>tfw you are getting your 03A3 back from the gunsmith this week
Thank you god
>>30165055
I'm sure I've posted my other milsurp rifles here before.
>>30170589
Nice Lebel. I guess it's one from Afghanistan?
Up here in Canada, I've seen a fair number of Mauser 1871/84s in really good shape- much better condition than the other firearms of the era we normally see here. Were they all just stored away in arsenals and unused?
>>30171439
Pretty much.
Quebec had them for the home guard units but never really used them.
>>30171450
Ah, thanks for the key bit of info. A bit of digging shows that they bought them from the Hudson's Bay Company.
Shit, imagine buying milsurp from the Bay. Maybe they could keep it down near the appliances and cookware.
>>30171362
Yeah
>>30171539
Used to be in with the other sporting goods.
At one point Princess Auto used to sell surplus rifles as well. Stacked by the barrel full.
Ordered a shooters kit for this, last part I need are some trigger parts and it will be shooting again.
I have a question. Should I buy a M39 mosin or a K11? I'm really torn on it because i already have a mosin.
>>30175937
The former has an easier supply of ammo.
>of course you could always get both
just got this, my best guess is spanish, but the lack of a crest, and as of yet unidentified marks on the bolt leave many questions. caliber is 7x57
>>30178646
here is the other side
>>30178079
How do you tell if it was rechambered to 9mm?
>>30179948
on the left hand side of the slide it would be stamped L08, the L stands for Lauf or barrel and indicates that the barrel was altered to the P08 cartridge
>>30178646
>>30179258
That man-licker stock
>>30163607
That's a beautiful example. Where did you get it? Can't decide whether to get one on gunbroker or try and wait for more imports.
>>30181847
Bought it off a friend, though I think he originally got it from Cabelas. I do know of an importer in the area near where I live, though.
>>30164831
What year is the receiver?
>>30171576
>>30163262
is fulton armory m14 any good
>>30182801
Too much want.
