Anyone know where to get alpine green furniture for a PTR? I can find the stock but no forearms or pistol grips

Possibly gonna be trading my AR for a CETME with a paddle mag release and trigger job alongslide several mags and 200+ rounds of brass cased .308 (mostly perfecta and ZQI I believe)

Depending on how the trade goes I may or may not keep my Aimpoint PRO (there may be another gun thrown in for that)
If I do I'm considering mounting it on the CETME.

I impulse bought an R1A1 sporter a few years back, receiver markings are MADE BY IMBEL, ITAJUBA BRAZIL. IMPORTED BY CAI ST. ALB VT. From what i've dug up it looks like a frankenfal from century, metric pattern.

Anyone have any experience with these imports? I have issues with doublefeeding, and i think ive narrowed it down to an issue with the feed ramp, called a "monobrow feed ramp", where it is actually two feed ramps with a peak in the middle. Any advice on what to do, what to look for, if i can fix this myself, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I can post more pics as well if anyone has some insight for me.

Got about 100 rounds through it now. It's picky; wants good and/or hot .308. Runs well with .308 Rem UMC, .308 Federal hunting loads, and .308 TulAmmo. Doesn't like Lake City 7.62 NATO or Perfecta .308. 5 round steel mag from Midway's house brand (AR-Stoner) sucked, wouldn't feed with anything. 10 round Pmags worked as stated above. 25 round pmag only liked TulAmmo, but ran like a swiss watch with it.

Something ironic about a cheap rifle build (PSA/Anderson/Asstd) only liking Tula.

With M80 ball? 2-4MOA for all but the .308AR; which should be able to stay <2 if it's built correctly, though IIRC the original AR10s were about as accurate as the rest. There's so much variation when it comes to the .308AR that it's hard to give you a single statistic.

I'm in the market for a new rifle. I am saving up for a Zastava M76. Problem is, I'm a broke college student, and my budget is smallish, so I need suggestions.
I need something that can be:
Made commiefornia legal
Good for long range-ish shooting (DMR range, at least 1MOA-ish on an average day with good ammo, comes with or can be equipped with a scope)
And I'd love a rifle that is:
C&R or old
Wood and Metal
Has history in a conflict
Cheap-ish round (my other gat is 8mm Mauser, so I'm willing to go up to that price).

there are no c&r rifles that shoot cartridges cheaper than 8mm mauser except the mosin and svt. the closest youre going to get is a finn mosin if you dont mind a bolt action or an FN 49 which isnt 1 moa. otherwise either get a new production rifle or pony up the $.75-$2 per round for a different milsurp cartridge.

Some do. There's some horror story floating around about a dude who was using Wolf ammo when his upper receiver went and decided that it wanted to cease to exist as a cohesive unit, and DSA loves to slap that warning about steel ammo on all their SA58s.

I feed my Imbel a steady diet of Turkshit, German Surplus, and Monarch, and it has yet to decide that it sexually identifies as a Glock.

Now this is pure uneducated conjecture, but I'd imagine that steel is frowned upon because of poor QC, and improperly sized cases, hot loads, and austere forms of Slavic metallurical witchcraft are what end up destroying people's raifus.

Alright guys, I need a high quality battle rifle that is reliable and that I can bet my life on. I will be using this gun for WROL and shtf so I need a gun that I can take to hell and back and not worry about it letting me down. So far I've narrowed my choices down to the venerable PSA ar10 and the c308. Please give me your guys experience with these fine weapons. When I was putting shit on it, I wanted to be able to make it better looking than an over sized A2 style. It's just that I rarely ever see anyone make almost a complete magpul furniture AR.

For the price, I think the stuff is pretty reasonable. I even have their grip panels on my 1911. Love it. But I'd totally buy better stuff if I could.

I had a Springfield and IMO its kinda shit for the role of battle rifle, but it looks great and is a lot of fun to shoot.

The controls are wonky and changing mags is hard as fuck. Much easier on an m1, FAL, g3, or SCAR.

The gas system is less reliable than an m1

it is front heavy, especially if you mount the EBR stock like I did (do fucking not get the EBR kit, it is the worst $900 you can possibly spend. It takes a decent rifle and makes it impossibly difficult to shoot)

it is hard to mount optics to, even with the EBR kit.

the trigger sucks.

If you like m14's and you want a fun gun to shoot, look no further. But if you want to set up a DMR or a battle rifle you can use effectively for combat, look literally anywhere else.

I personally have a lot more fun with my m1 than I ever did with my m1a.
