I'm really mad on two parts. He sold it for what he did with only 10 rounds down range and it was a '73 production model. It was sold around the time they were just topping $3000. That, and he had promised me that gun when I returned from a tour overseas. Either way I've let it go and I'll settle for a M45.

I got very lucky with gunbroker. I'd had it on my saved searches for over four months before I got that one.
in that time there was one other 4" one that went for just over a grand. someone got it with "buy now" within an hour or two of its listing, long before I even saw it.
